The inspection team of the Central Coordinating Council for Law Dissemination and Education works in Lang Son province

On the afternoon of July 19, the Inspection Team of the Central Coordinating Council for Law Dissemination and Education led by Mr. Ngo Sach Thuc, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice Chairman of the Central Coordinating Council for Law Dissemination and Education to work with the  Provincial Coordinating Council for Law Dissemination and Education on the work of  Law Dissemination and Education, reconciliation at the grassroots level, and standards for approaching the law.

Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Coordinating Council for Law Dissemination and Education chaired the meeting with the delegation.

According to the report at the meeting, in 2021 and the first 6 months of 2022, all levels, sectors and units in the province have organized over 27,000 law dissemination and education meetings for nearly 2 million attendees; 100% of schools have law bookcases, or bookshelves; 100% of departments, commissions, sectors, People’s Committees of districts and city organize thoroughly and have activities to respond to Law Day. In 2021, conciliation teams in the province have conciliated 2,618/3,475 cases, reaching the rate of 75%; In the first 6 months of 2022, conciliation teams in the province have resolved 1,308/1,860 cases, reaching a rate of 71%. In 2021, there are 195/200 communes, wards and townships of the province meeting the standard of legal access as prescribed, reaching the rate of 97.5%, (increasing by 0.5% compared to 2020).

Mr. Ngo Sach Thuc, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice Chairman of the Central Coordinating Council for Law Dissemination and Education delivered a concluding speech.

At the inspection session, the delegates discussed and clarified some more issues such as Law Dissemination and Education work in border areas; promote the role of reputable people in law propaganda for ethnic minorities; to build communes, wards and townships up to standards of legal access; sharing experiences, good practices, identifying effective models in the work of Law Dissemination and Education for each target group; quality of conciliation at grassroots level; legal aid work; Propaganda in schools…

Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, Chairman of Provincial Coordinating Council for Law Dissemination and Education spoke at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee informed about some results achieved in socio-economic development of the province in the first 6 months of 2022. At the same time, it also clarifies more difficulties in the propaganda of Law Dissemination and Education in the province. He wished that the Central Coordinating Council for Law Dissemination and Education would continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions to support the province to improve the quality of Law Dissemination and Education work. He suggested that members and standing agencies of the Provincial Coordinating Council for Law Dissemination and Education fully absorb the opinions of the delegation, continue to perform well the coordination work to improve the quality of Law Dissemination and Education work in the area.

At the concluding speech, the Head of the delegation highly appreciated the work of Law Dissemination and Education in the province. He suggested that in the coming time, Lang Son province will continue to promote the role of the Coordinating Council for Law Dissemination and Education at all levels, mobilizing the participation of the whole political system in the work of Law Dissemination and Education. At the same time, the province perfecting mechanisms and policies, mobilizing resources to carry out the work of Law Dissemination and Education, projects on legal propaganda for specific subjects; strengthen propaganda on corruption prevention and negative behavior laws; step up training, and improving the quality of the contingent of legal reporters and propagandists; coordination between the Fatherland Front and mass organizations in the work of reconciliation at the grassroots level, propagandizing on the prevention and control of the Law Dissemination and Education, etc. For the recommendations and proposals of the province, the delegation has also received and recorded it to submit to the competent authorities for settlement in the near future.
