Ensuring facilities for a new school year

Recently, in addition to preserving facilities, in the province, new construction and renovation of schools, classrooms, etc., are increased, in order to prepare the best facilities to welcome students to the new school year 2022 – 2023.

A new school year will come in over half a month. According to a report of the provincial education sector, the province currently has 674 school from preschool to professional schools. In order to promptly prepare for the upcoming school year, schools in the province have been urgently preparing facilities and teaching equipment; cleaning and sanitizing school campus, classes, planting trees in the school yard to create a green – clean – beautiful environment…

The Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School – High School in Loc Binh district, was recently invested by the Department of Education and Training in building 21 new dormitory rooms (completed and handed over in June 2022), ensuring accommodation for boarding students at the school for the school year 2022 – 2023. Ms. Duong Thi Huyen, Vice Principal of the school said: “In the upcoming school year, the school will receive more than 400 students in 2 school levels. To prepare for the new school year, along with the construction of the dormitory, the school has actively repaired and added a number of learning equipment; at the same time, teachers are mobilized to participate in planting flowers and ornamental plants and redecorating the school campus. Up to now, the school has ready for the new school year 2022-2023.”

In fact, over the past time, facilities and teaching equipment for schools has been urgently prepared by the education and training divisions of districts and city. Through a survey of the provincial education sector, currently, the preparation of school facilities in the localities in the province is basically going according to the plan.

In Trang Dinh district, after the end of the 2021-2022 school year, the district Divion of Education and Training directed schools to review all facilities and develop a repair and maintenance plan in the summer to prepare for the upcoming new school year.

Mr. Duong Manh Ha, Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Trang Dinh district said: “In the school year 2022 – 2023, there are 56 schools with more than 12,000 students. Through the schools’ report and the division’s survey on facilities, at the end of the 2021-2022 school year, the division advised the District People’s Committee to allocate funds, combine the school’s regular expenses with more than 5.7 billion VND from socialization to build, repair and supplement equipment for schools. Up to now, the units have well prepared the facilities and classroom, ensuring the opening of the new school year 2022 – 2023 in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.”

Similarly, in Dinh Lap district, in the coming new school year, the district will have 39 schools with more than 7,000 students. Ms. Ninh Thu Giang, Head of District Department of Education and Training, said: “During this summer, the division advised the District People’s Committee to build 5 classrooms, 12 administrative and functional rooms, 1 multi- functional house and 2 public offices for school. Currently, it has completed repairing 8 classrooms, 18 administrative and functional rooms, 1 multi- functional house. Basically, the schools have fully prepared the facilities and equipment for the new school year. At primary level, the schools have enough 1 room/class, 2 teaching sessions/day. At the lower secondary level, facilities such as libraries, laboratories, subject classrooms, and teaching equipment meet the requirements of renovating the 7th grade textbook program.”

Mr. Ho Cong Liem, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training said: “By the end of the 2021-2022 school year, the whole sector has more than 260 schools that have reached national standard schools and over 70% of classrooms in schools have been solidified. To prepare for the new school year, after the end of the school year, the department has requested the education and training divisions of districts and city to review and accelerate the progress of construction and repair of schools and classrooms. In addition to new construction, the Department of Education and Training directs schools to focus on the landscape and learning environment such as painting, redecorating the campus, creating a cool and clean landscape to welcome students into the new school year.

Up to now, with the direction of the Department of Education and Training, the proactive advice of the Divisions of Education and Training, the attention of the authorities at all levels, basically, schools in the whole province have been invested in construction and decoration, ready to welcome the new school year 2022 – 2023 with the spirit of emulation to teach well, study well and effectively implement the key tasks and solutions set by the sector.
