Provincial People’s Council organizes a thematic supervision session on site clearance in Chi Lang district

On the afternoon of August 30, the supervision delegation of the Provincial People’s Council led by Mrs. Doan Thi Hau, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council supervised the implementation of compensation, site clearance, resettlement support for projects in Chi Lang district.

According to the report at the supervision session, over the past time, the People’s Committee of Chi Lang district has focused on directing and promoting the propaganda and mobilizing the people to strictly observe the guidelines of the Party, the laws and policies of the State in the fields of land, compensation for site clearance, planning management, construction order. Thereby, it has contributed to raising the awareness of all levels, sectors, officials and people about land, compensation for site clearance, facilitating the implementation of projects. In 2022, Chi Lang district has cleared the ground for 24 works and projects. In the first 9 months of 2022, the functional sector has measured and counted over 350 cases with an area of ​​over 25 hectares; approved the compensation and support over 410 households, 1 community, 1 organization with nearly 26.3 billion VND; As a result, nearly 400 households have been compensated with an amount of nearly 26 billion VND. Up to now, the site of ​​over 23 hectares has been handed over.

At the supervision session, members of the delegation asked Chi Lang district to clarify some issues such as problems related to land prices, land policies; the district’s plan in implementing site clearance and resettlement arrangements; coordination in propaganda and mobilization of the people in site clearance;

Regarding the questions of the members of the supervision delegation, representatives of the District Party Committee, District People’s Committee and divisions, commissions have explained and clarified.

Concluding of the supervision session, the Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council acknowledged the results achieved in the site clearance of the district over the past time. However, the implementation of site clearance in the district still had some limitations that needed to be overcome.

The Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council suggested that Chi Lang district should focus on drastically directing works related to site clearance, especially in key projects being implemented in the area; focus on propagating and handling complaints in this field, ensuring the procedures for site clearance according to the law; pay attention to the resettlement of people, develop plans on dumping sites of projects; develop specific plans to adjust the total investment of a number of projects in the locality.

She requested Chi Lang district to summarize all problems related to mechanisms and policies and send it to the supervision delegation for report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Council.
