The Provincial Business Association celebrates its 10th anniversary and receives the Third-Class Labor Medal

On October 12, the Provincial Business Association solemnly celebrated the 10^th anniversary of its establishment (October 30, 2012 – October 30, 2022), celebrated the Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day (October 13) and welcomed Third-class Labor Medal awarded by the State President.

Attending the celebration were Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mrs. Doan Thi Hau, Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of Provincial People’s Council; leaders of departments, sectors, People’s Committees of districts and Lang Son city, business associations of other provinces.

After 10 years of operation, up to now, the Provincial Business Association has 9 organizations and branches with nearly 600 member businesses. During the 10-year journey of its establishment and operation, the association has built and implemented many practical activities with spillover effect; it has closely coordinated with departments and sectors to remove difficulties for businesses, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of member businesses; actively participated in criticizing and contributing ideas to the development of mechanisms and policies of the central government and the province.

In 2020 and 2021, the Provincial People’s Committee assigned the association to be the focal point for the implementation of the Department and District Competitiveness Index (DDCI). The association and its member has successfully cooperated with other sectors to complete the targets, as well as made a great contribution to social welfare with more than 100 billion VND.

Speaking at the celebration, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee recognized and praised the achievements of the Provincial Business Association in the past 10 years.

In order to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation, he requested the association and its members to continue to act as a bridge between businesses and State management agencies, to proactively propose breakthrough mechanisms and policies for business development.

Along with that, it is also necessary to mobilize businesses to actively participate in social welfare activities and emulation movements; to continue to effectively implement central and provincial resolutions and action plans on private economic development.

The Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasized that businesses of the province must actively improve their capacity, take advantage of all opportunities brought by the 4th industrial revolution; focus on investment and application of new and digital technologies in production, combine modern management and business governance methods, promote initiatives, technical improvements, reduce production costs, lower prices, improve product quality, protect the environment; pay attention to offer policies to ensure the interests of employees; fulfill its obligations to the State.

He suggested the business community and entrepreneurs strengthen joint ventures, association, cooperation to legally get rich with fair competition, transparent competition, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals of the province, devoting into the construction and development of Lang Son.

At the ceremony, authorized by the State President, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee awarded the Third Class Labor Medal to the Provincial Business Association; the Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council awarded the First Class Labor Medal to Bao Long Co., Ltd and Lang Son Production and Trading Joint Stock Company.

At the same time, 10 businesses and 2 businessmen were awarded certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee for their outstanding achievements in production and business activities in the period 2017-2022; 21 businesses, 15 businessmen were awarded certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee for excellently completing the tasks of the first 8 months of 2022.
