Opening Spring Flower Street of Lang Son and the exhibition of “Ancient Ky Lua Market”

On the morning of January 17, at Chi Lang Park, Lang Son city, the Organizing Committee of activities to congratulate the Party and celebrate the Lunar New Year 2023 opened the Spring Flower Street and the exhibition of “Ancient Ky Lua Market“.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee; Mrs. Giap Thi Bac, Member of Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Commission for Mass Mobilization of Provincial Party Committee; Mrs. Doan Thi Loan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Lang Son City Party Committee.

The Spring Flower Street of Lang Son in 2023 was designed and decorated by the People’s Committee of Lang Son city with the theme “a Happy, Prosperous and Reunited Spring”, creating a colorful space of spring.

This is the 4th year that the City People’s Committee has been assigned the task of design and decoration of Spring Flower Street at Chi Lang Park. With a length of nearly 500 m, Spring Flower Street is divided into 5 different large and small sections, including 25 groups of models and miniatures; 1 main gate and 1 stage to serve cultural performances for the public.

During the program, the Organizing Committee opened the exhibition of “Ancient Ky Lua Market”. It was organized by Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the Provincial Museum with more than 100 exhibits divided into two parts including the Living room to welcome Tet of the ancient Vietnamese and Ky Lua market. Through images, documents, artifacts, experiential activities, it introduced to visitors about the cultural beauties of the traditional New Year, thereby awaking pride, raising the responsibility of the People, especially the young generation in preserving and spreading the good traditional cultural values of their ancestors, creating a joyful atmosphere to welcome the traditional New Year.

Spring Flower Street of Lang Son connects the cultural space of the exhibition “Ancient Ky Lua Market” and activities within the framework of the Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival in 2023 to form an attractive destination that meets the needs of entertainment of the people and tourists during Tet holiday.

At the ceremony, the delegates cut the ribbon to open and visited Spring Flower Street of Lang Son and the exhibition “Ancient Ky Lua Market”.
