Celebrating the 68th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day and commending and rewarding typical advanced and typical doctors in Lang Son health sector

On the afternoon of February 24, the Department of Health celebrated the 68th anniversary of the Vietnamese Doctor’s Day (February 27, 1955-February 27, 2023) and commended the most advanced and typical doctors in the Lang Son health sector. Attending the celebration was Mr. Luong Trong Quynh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.

At the celebration, the delegates together reviewed the historical tradition of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day. After 68 years of construction and development, together with the health system of the whole country, the health sector of Lang Son province has made great strides, many indicators of the health system and people’s health have been met and exceeded the set targets and goals. Preventive medicine network, medical examination and treatment facilities, capacity and professional qualifications of medical staff and doctors have all implemented strongly, make an important contribution to fulfilling the task of taking care of and protecting people’s health in the locality. With those contributions, hundreds of excellent collectives and individuals have been recognized, praised and rewarded by the State, Provincial People’s Committee, all levels and sectors.

Speaking at the celebration, Mr. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee recognized and praised the contributions of the medical team, doctors and health workers in Lang Son province in the past time. He suggested that the Department of Health continue to effectively implement the guidelines of the Party, policies and laws of the State, especially the Party’s resolutions on strengthening the protection, care and improvement of the people’s health and population work in the new situation; continue to pay attention to the material and spiritual life of the medical staff, promptly implement the regimes and policies of the State newly promulgated for medical staff; focus on propagating and mastering the guiding documents of all levels on the application of information technology and digital transformation in the health sector to meet the needs and expectations of society in People health care service.

He expressed his wish that the medical team would continue to make efforts, overcome difficulties and challenges, and better meet the people’s need to protect, care for and improve their health, worthy of the sacrifice, striving and building of generations of doctors, worthy of the trust and love of the Party Committee, the government and the people of Lang Son province.
