“What we can do for the people, we must do our best”

“Whatever can be done for the People must be done with all its might, no matter how difficult it is.” That is the sharing of Senior Lieutenant Colonel Tran Thi Thu Trang, Deputy Head of the Police Division for Administrative Management of Social Order, Provincial Public Security – one of the individuals who received a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee for her outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style in 2022.

Colonel Tran Thi Thu Trang was born in 1978 in Lang Son city, after graduating from the People’s Police Academy, she used to work at the Investigation Security Division, the Provincial Public Security; until 2017, she received a job at the Police Division for Administrative Management of Social Order, Provincial Public Security and held the position of Deputy Head of the Division since then. She said: Engraved with Uncle Ho’s lesson: “Whatever benefits the people, we must do our best”, I always keep in mind “Whatever can be done for the people, you must do your best, no matter how difficult or difficult it is”. Therefore, myself in particular and each officer and soldier of the Provincial Public Security in general are always stand and ready to serve the People in any circumstances.

In her work, the most prominent mark of Lieutenant Colonel Tran Thi Thu Trang is the implementation of the issuance of citizen identification card. Colonel Trang said: Citizen identification card has many utilities related to the benefits of the people. Initially, this implementation faced many difficulties because people did not understand the meaning and utility of citizen identification card, so they did not actively participate. Therefore, I have advised leaders of the Provincial Public Security to implement many practical solutions, which are divided into several phases and peak periods; setting up mobile citizen identification card working groups at the grassroots level, both working and propagating for people, making efforts day and night according to the motto of finish the work wherever you go.

To be effective, from 2021 to now, she directly and the delegation of the Provincial Public Security came to check and urge the implementation at the police of 11 districts and city and many mobile citizen identification card  distribution points at grassroots and residential areas, with a total of about 20 inspections. The inspections are usually in the evening, there are calls until late at night, from which she grasps and proposes to leaders of the Provincial Public Security to remove difficulties and problems at the facility, and guide the people to do it; contribute to the Provincial Public Security to achieve the goals and plans set out at each time. Up to now, the whole province has received about 99.7% of citizen identification card dossiers, contributed to helping the People to facilitate the settlement of administrative procedures and civil transactions.

She also actively proposed to leaders of the Provincial Public Security to advise the Provincial People’s Committee to direct and well implement the Government’s Project No.06 on “Developing the application of population data, identification and electronic authentication for national digital transformation in the period of 2022 – 2025, with a vision to 2030”.

From 2022 up to now, the province has publicized nearly 1,190 online public services at level 3 and level 4 on the National Public Service Portal; over 44,500 records of administrative procedures of districts and city are digitized into the province’s digitized data storage.

As Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Division, engraved Uncle Ho’s lesson: “cadre followed movement that suit them most”,  Senior Lieutenant Colonel Tran Thi Thu Trang is always exemplary in all fields, directs and runs the work decisively, dares to do, dares to take responsibility for all her decisions. At the same time, she is very close, sharing and guiding enthusiastically, arrange and assign tasks to officers in the unit reasonably and with the right forte in order to maximize the capacity of each individual. In her daily life, she always keeps a simple, gentle lifestyle, behaves in a civilized and proper manner, is trusted and loved by everyone…

Major Hoang Thi Hieu, Deputy Captain of the Regional Police Working Guidance Team, Police Division for Administrative Management of Social Order, Provincial Public Security said: With the assigned positions and tasks, Mrs. Tran Thi Thu Trang always directed fiercely and closely all aspects of the unit’s work; exemplary in work and daily life for officers in the unit to study and follow. She was also always focused on encouraging officers to improve their sense of responsibility, make efforts to overcome difficulties and successfully complete tasks; directed the unions of the unit to organize many social security activities towards the grassroots, combined propaganda and dissemination of legal education for the People…

From her own efforts, in 2022, Colonel Tran Thi Thu Trang was awarded a certificate of merit by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for the achievement of being a party member who met the standard of “Excellent completion of the task” for 5 consecutive years; she was awarded a certificate of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee for outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style; awarded Certificate of Merit from Minister of Public Security and Certificate of Merit from Director of Provincial Public Security for outstanding achievements in professional work.
