Extensive propaganda on the history of the Provincial Party Committee in schools

Towards the 90th anniversary of the Provincial Party Committee’s Traditional Day (June 15, 1933 – June 15, 2023), the education and training sector has promoted propaganda in various forms. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness, fostering confidence and pride in the history of formation and development of the Provincial Party Committee among officials, teachers, staff as well as all students in the locality.

In March 2023, as soon as the Provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda Department issued the outline and guidelines for propaganda to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Provincial Party Committee’s Traditional Day, The Department of Education and Training has requested educational institutions in the area to focus on widely spreading this content through different forms such as: organizing seminars, thematic activities, organizing extracurricular activities, local history education… Accordingly, educational institutions have actively participated in the propaganda.

Students of the Semi-boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities at Hong Thai Commune Primary School, Van Lang District have extracurricular activities at the Commemorative House of Hoang Van Thu.

Specifically, 100% of the school party cell has included this content in thematic activities. Along with that, the schools also organize a variety of extracurricular activities under the flag such as combining propaganda with playing games, answering short questions; combine propaganda with launching multiple-choice tests on the Internet to learn about 90 years of the Provincial Party Committee’s Traditional Day. Accordingly, the contest has attracted a large number of officials, teachers, employees, and students (who are 12 years old or older) to participate.

In particular, schools focused on integrating this propaganda content into social science classes. Following the local history education program, schools in the area have implemented lessons that integrate teaching content on the history of the provincial Party Committee, the achievements of the province’s socio-economic development over the past time. For example, at the Division of Education and Training of Chi Lang district, in April and May, the division has directed 41 primary and secondary schools in the area to organize local history lessons associated with the content of learning about the 90-year history of the Provincial Party Committee’s Traditional Day.

At the same time, schools focus on organizing extra-curricular activities and hands-on experiences at historical sites with the theme of learning about the 90-year history of the Provincial Party Committee’s Traditional Day. For example, at Tri Phuong Commune Secondary School, Trang Dinh District, in March, the school organized more than 50 students in grades 8 and 9 to visit Coc Muoi cave. Mr. Nong Van Diep, Secretary of the Party cell, the school’s principal said: In the commune, there are relics of Coc Muoi cave, so it is very necessary to organize for students to visit, experience and learn about history. Through a recent visit, all students in grades 8, 9 of the school have better understanding of the historical significance of Coc Muoi cave – where the secret activities of Phi My Party cell are located.

Through the above activities, it has positively affected the awareness and sense of learning, creating motivation and building confidence for students to continue their efforts and strive to study well. Dong Thi Anh Thu, a student of class 3A3 at Thuy Hung Primary School, Cao Loc district, said: There is a historical site of Hang Pai communal house on the campus of the school site. We were introduced to this historical site by our teachers and always remember that this is the place where the first Party cell of the province was established. Learning about history, we are even more proud of our heroic tradition and tell ourselves that we will work hard and strive to study better.

It can be said that, from March to now, the provincial education and training sector has been actively implementing activities to promote the 90th anniversary of the Provincial Party Committee’s Traditional Day to all officials, teachers, staff and students. These activities have created an exciting political activity for all officials and teachers in the industry to review the history of the glorious journeys of the Provincial Party Committee over the past 90 years, helped students understand more about their local history to love their homeland more and be more proud of being born and raised in a land rich in revolutionary traditions.

In the coming time, following the outline and propaganda guidelines of the province, the education and training sector will continue to strengthen the organization of activities to ensure flexibility, in accordance with the educational program, actively respond to emulation movements to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee’s Traditional Day.
