Lang Son won the B prize at the 28th Northwest – Northern 3rd Region Fine Arts Exhibition

On September 27, the People’s Committee of Cao Bang province coordinated with the Vietnam Fine Arts Association to organize the opening of the 28th Northwest – Northern 3rd Region Fine Arts Exhibition in 2023. Lang Son province had a work that won the B prize at the exhibition.

Artist Au Viet Son won the B prize at the Exhibition.

The Northwest – Northern 3rd Region Fine Arts Exhibition is an annual activity of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, organized to promote fine art works of artists and members in the region. This is also an opportunity for artists and art lovers in the region to unleash their creativity, exchange and introduce quality works of art to the public.

This year’s exhibition displays 210 works by 185 authors from 15 provinces including: Cao Bang, Thai Nguyen, Lao Cai, Bac Giang, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Hoa Binh, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Son La, Vinh Phuc, Lang Son and Bac Kan.

The works displayed at the exhibition have a variety of materials, demonstrating the creativity, ability to keep up with contemporary art trends as well as the expertise of artists and sculptors. Each work vividly reflects the fine traditional cultural values and socio-economic achievements of the homeland and the country.

At the opening program, the Organizing Committee selected 12 authors with excellent works to participate in the exhibition to award 1 A prize; 2 B prizes; 3 C prizes and 6 consolation prizes.

Lang Son province alone has 12 works by 10 authors selected to be displayed at the exhibition. Among them, the lacquer painting “Afternoon Sun” by artist Au Viet Son won the B prize.
