The team of Hoang Van Thu Secondary School, Lang Son city wins the first prize in the ViRC category of the Vietnam Stem Robotics Championship

Vietnam Stem Robotics Championship 2023, within the framework of the annual Vietnam Stem Festival, is a Stem Robotics competition for high school students nationwide. In the ViRC content, the team from Hoang Van Thu Secondary School, Lang Son city, excellently won the first prize.

In ViRC content (Virtue Robot Competition), with the theme of Full volume, teams competed online on October 2. They registered an email address and got access to the online meeting room platform (google classroom) pre-designated by the Organizing Committee. The participants prepared 2 cameras for obvious image of the candidates’ faces, the surrounding space and shared the screen during the exam time to serve proctoring work.

Participating in the final round, the ViRC content at the secondary level, there were 36 teams from primary and secondary schools competing nationwide. Accordingly, teams used VEX VR virtual robots through VEXcode software to take the test on the VIQC Virtual skills – Full Volume tabletop. Teams chose 1 out of 5 starting positions of the robot on the tabletop, then programmed the robot to move and score points from the starting position in the question. The competition time is 90 minutes for elementary school students, 120 minutes for middle school students.

According to the results of the Organizing Committee, the Stem Robotics ViRC team of Hoang Van Thu Secondary School, Lang Son city achieved a total score of 82 points (highest score) and won the national ViRC content championship (the second scored 76 points; the third scored 71 points).

ViRC team from Hoang Van Thu Secondary School performs their online competition at the Vietnam Stem Robotic Championship
