The Youth Union of 4 Northern border provinces of Vietnam signs a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Youth Union of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China)

On November 21, the meeting of signing a Memorandum of Friendship Cooperation between the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Lang Son, Quang Ninh provinces (Vietnam) and the Youth Union of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) for the period 2023 – 2026 was held online. At the connection point of Lang Son province, Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Youth Union Dinh Thi Anh Thu attended the meeting.

Speaking at the event, Secretary of the Youth Union of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China Meng Qi Peng said: “In 2022, after the successful organization of the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong was the first foreign leader to visit China. During his visit, senior leaders of the two countries announced a joint statement on promoting and deepening China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership and cooperation, enhancing mutual understanding between the people of the two countries, especially the young generation; continuing to well organize friendship exchange programs and youth cultural exchange activities… Online exchange meeting between the Youth Unions of Guangxi region and Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Lang Son, Quang Ninh provinces (Viet Nam) was an activity which concretized the joint statement between senior leaders of the two countries. In particular, young people of provinces and region would focus on economic – trade cooperation, humanistic exchanges and social management.

Speaking at the event, Ms Dinh Thi Anh Thu, Secretary of Lang Son Provincial Youth Union, said: “The online meeting to sign a Memorandum of Friendly Cooperation between the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Lang Son, Quang Ninh provinces (Vietnam) and the Youth Union of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China for the period 2023 – 2026 is an important milestone, demonstrating friendship and close effective cooperation between youth unions of provinces and the region. With the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation, the youth unions of provinces and the region will further promote the traditional friendship between the two Parties, the two States and the People of Vietnam and China; promote friendly cooperation between provinces and the region to increasingly expand and deepen, bringing practical results.”

At the event, representatives of the youth unions of provinces and the region signed a Memorandum of Friendly Cooperation for the period 2023 – 2026 with the contents including jointly expanding methods of exchange and cooperation between young entrepreneurs of the provinces and the region; supporting businesses to cooperate in the fields of industry, agriculture, science and technology, transportation, import-export trade, tourism, finance…; continuing to implement exchange and cooperation activities between youth union officials and members of China and Vietnam through conferences, teacher exchange programs, student exchanges and cultural exchanges…; enhancing exchange and cooperation in areas such as employment and start-up, volunteering, arts and culture, sports, preventing cross-border crime, preventing cross-border human trafficking, anti-terrorism, drug trafficking, protecting the ecological environment in border areas…
