Leader of the Provincial People’s Committee pays Christmas visit to Lang Son and Cao Bang Diocese

On the morning of December 20, in Lang Son city, the provincial delegation led by Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee  to visit and extend Christmas to Lang Son and Cao Bang Diocese, ahead of Christmas 2023.

Joining the delegation were representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Committee, Provincial Public Security, Department of Home Affairs and Lang Son City People’s Committee.

Here, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee gave an overview of the results of socio-economic development, defense and security of the province in 2023, accordingly, 16/18 targets met and exceeded the set plan, the socio-economic situation had positive changes, and the material and spiritual lives of the people were increasingly improved. He affirmed that this result is due to the efforts of party committees and authorities at all levels, and the unanimous support of businesses and people from all walks of life and the great contributions of dignitaries, officials, and followers of religions in the province, including Catholics in general and Bishops, priests, and parishioners in particular.

On this occasion, he presented gifts from the province to Lang Son – Cao Bang Diocese and wished the Bishop, priests, and parishioners in the province a peaceful and happy Christmas; he hoped that the Bishop and priests will continue to propagate and orient the laity to well implement the Party’s guidelines and policies, the State’s laws, and live “a good life, a beautiful religion”, actively participate in patriotic emulation and solidarity movements to build an increasingly developed Lang Son.
