Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee receives and works with the Minister of Embassy of The Republic of Korea in Vietnam

On the afternoon of February 1, Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee received and worked with the Delegation of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam led by Mr. Lee Kyoung Dock, Minister of Embassy of The Republic of Korea in Vietnam

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee thanked the attention of the Minister of Embassy of The Republic of Korea in Vietnam to Lang Son province, and affirmed that with the diplomatic relationship and economic cooperation over the past 32 years, the relationship between Vietnam and Republic of Korea has become increasingly better.

Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and Mr. Lee Kyoung Dock, Minister of Embassy of The Republic of Korea in Vietnam discuss a number of issues of interest to both sides at the meeting.

He  briefly informed about the cooperation situation between Lang Son province and Korean partners. Accordingly, Lang Son province currently has cooperation with Korea in a number of fields such as: local-level cooperation with Gangwon province; ODA cooperation and humanitarian aid; cooperation on human resource training; receiving Korean experts and volunteers; trade and investment cooperation;…

The Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasized: Lang Son province is focusing on developing industrial zones and clusters and is always ready to create conditions for foreign investors to invest in industrial infrastructure in the area. Through this meeting, Lang Son province hopes that Minister of Embassy of The Republic of Korea in Vietnam will continue to support and introduce the investment environment and effective operations of Lang Son province to Korean businesses; connecting Korean businesses and non-governmental organizations in Vietnam with Lang Son province; pay attention, introduce, connect, and support Lang Son province to expand cooperative relationships with Korean partners…

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Lee Kyoung Dock, Minister of the Embassy of The Republic of Korea in Vietnam, expressed his deep gratitude for the warm welcome of the leaders of Lang Son province for the delegation. At the same time, he highly appreciated the socio-economic development of the province in recent years, as well as appreciated the potentials and advantages of Lang Son province such as border gate economy, trade, tourism, and labor force resources… At the same time, he informed: During this trip to Lang Son province, the delegation of the Embbassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam wishes to continue to promote closer cooperation between Lang Son province and Korean Embassy; promote cooperative relationships between a number of Korean localities and Lang Son province; explore the investment environment, promote trade and investment cooperation between Korean partners and Lang Son province;…

Through discussion, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and the Minister of the Embassy of The Republic of Korea in Vietnam both believed that with the tradition of friendship and close cooperation over the past time, the relationship as well as cooperation in the future will be strong. The relationship between Vietnam and Korea in general, and between Lang Son province and The Republic of Korea  Embassy in Vietnam in particular will be even stronger.
