Nearly 10,000 people participate in the Hang Pinh festival

From September 26 to 29 (ie from the 12th to the 15th of the 8th lunar month), Hang Pinh festival attracted nearly 10,000 participants.

The festival is organized by the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the monument of Comrade Hoang Van Thu and the Provincial Museum with many interesting activities such as then, sli, luon singings; lion dancing, martial arts, performing arts, a traditional game named “lay co”; recreating the cultural space of the old Ky Lua market with booths displaying essential items for life; making cakes in a traditional oven model…

Although the weather is not favorable, the atmosphere on the festival days, especially the opening day (the 12th), are still bustling with many new and interesting activities, meeting the diverse needs of people and tourists.

According to Tay and Nung languages, “Hang” is market, “Pinh” is baked moon cake. The unique feature of this festival is the image of Tay and Nung ethnic people in the indigo color of their traditional costumes eagerly attending the festival, shopping together, enjoying baked cakes and singing Sli and Luon songs.

This is the first year that the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector of the province has implemented a plan to innovate the organization of Hang Pinh Festival with the goal of building and developing the festival to become a branded tourism product of the Xu Lang.
