Opening of Lang Son City’s Ethnic Cultural Festival in 2023

On the evening of October 13, at Phai Loan Lake Park (Lang Son Children’s Palace section), the City Party Committee – People’s Council – People’s Committee – Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Son city held the opening ceremony of the 2023 Ethnic Cultural Festival of Lang Son city.  The festival is organized to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of the liberation of Lang Son province (October 17, 1950 – October 17, 2023) and the 21st anniversary of the founding of Lang Son city (October 17, 2002 – October 17, 2023).

 Attending the ceremony were Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of departments, sectors and commissions of the province, districts, cities, unions and businesses in the province; Representatives of delegations from cities in Cao Bang, Bac Giang, Quang Ninh, and Lao Cai provinces.

On the side of Lang Son city, attending the ceremony were Mrs. Doan Thi Loan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Lang Son City Party Committee; leaders of the People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Son city; former city leaders through the periods along with a large number of people in the city and tourists from inside and outside the province.

Here, delegates, people, and tourists enjoyed a unique art program with the theme “Lang Son Culture – Identity  of the Borderland “, including 3 parts, part 1: Colors of border culture ; Part 2: Lang Son – City by the river; Part 3: Lang Son Culture – reach out and shine, with the participation of about 130 professional actors and extras. In particular, there is the participation of singer Tan Nhan and musician Le Minh Son.

 Speaking at the opening, the leader of the City People’s Committee emphasized: Lang Son city is a charming mountainous land with famous landscapes, landscapes, and historical relics carrying legends and myths passed down from thousands of generations and friendly, hospitable, loving and close-knit people. The organizing committee hopes that the series of performances, exchanges, cultural festivals, experiences, enjoying cuisine, participating in folk games on October 13 and 14 will bring good feelings and impressions to people and tourists, this is an important starting foundation for Lang Son city to continue to have new developments in the tourism service industry, gradually realizing the policy of making culture an endogenous strength and the spiritual foundation of society, is both a goal and a driving force to promote the city’s development. This is also a highlight in the simultaneous implementation of a series of solutions to build new tourism products in the city and diversify the number of visitors to Lang Son city at many times of the year.
