The Provincial People’s Committee had a meeting on ground clearance work in June

(LSO) – On June 30, Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Vice Chairman in charge of the Provincial People’s Committee presided over a meeting on ground clearance work in June and evaluating the implementation progress of key projects in the second quarter of 2020.

According to the report at the meeting, in 2020, the province has implemented 19 key projects, of which five projects use state budget capital and 14 projects use non-budget capital.

In the second quarter of 2020, employers and some investors have paid attention to speeding up project implementation process, coordinating with related agencies to accelerate the execution of procedures to prepare for investment, site clearance, and ground breaking.

In particular, five out of five projects using state budget capital basically meet the approved schedule; six out of 14 projects using non-budget capital are on schedule, the remaining eight projects are behind schedule.

Regarding compensation, site clearance, difficulty and obstacle removing for projects in the province; according to the report of Department of Natural Resources and Environment, by the end of June 22, 2020, there were nine out of ten District People’s Committees and one City People’s Committee sending reports, Binh Gia and Van Quan districts did not send reports. Department of Natural Resources and Environment checked, reviewed and showed that Huu Lung, Chi Lang, Bac Son, Trang Dinh and Dinh Lap districts had no problems in compensation and support mechanisms and policies but Lang Son city, Cao Loc, Van Lang and Loc Binh districts had these problems.

Based on the discussed and unanimous opinions of departments, sectors and districts, city, Department of Natural Resources and Environment will report the results of reviewing, summarizing and proposing solutions for remaining projects.

At the meeting, participants discussed and clarified the difficulties and obstacles of key projects, and proposed specific solutions to each project.

Concluding at the meeting, Mr. Vice Chairman in charge of the Provincial People’s Committee requested that in the last six months of the year, districts and city focus on speeding up the site clearance of projects; employers and investors accelerate the construction progress of projects, disburse capital and repay capital according to regulations.

For some current projects that have not yet completed investment procedures, there are still a number of obstacles, state management agencies must proactively urge, guide and coordinate with investors in completing investment procedures.

Regarding the settlement of problems in the site clearance of projects, the Vice Chairman in charge of the Provincial People’s Committee basically agreed with the proposed solutions of Department of Natural Resources and Environment. At the same time, he requested the People’s Committees of districts and city to proactively and urgently set specific land prices to send to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment for evaluation.
