Honoring 40 typical enterprises and entrepreneurs in 2020

(LSO) – On October 13, celebrating Vietnamese Entrepreneurs’ Day, Lang Son Provincial People’s Committee held the third ceremony to honor typical entrepreneurs and enterprises in 2020.

Attending the Honoring Ceremony were Mrs. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and 140 enterprise leaders representing more than 3,000 enterprises operating in the province.

Speaking at the Honoring Ceremony, Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasized that over the past years, the province’s enterprise community has made important contributions to the speed of socio-economic development, provincial budget revenue. From 2017 to 2020, enterprises have paid more than 2,300 billion VND to the budget, created jobs for more than 50,000 local workers and contributed more than 75 billion VND to social security.

During the process of operation, Lang Son enterprises and entrepreneurs face both great opportunities and many challenges, in the context that the world and the country are having many difficulties due to the impact of Covid-19.

Therefore, in order for the province’s business force to grow and develop sustainably, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee proposed that entrepreneurs and enterprises constantly innovate, be creative, promote entrepreneurship, self-reliance, solidarity, linkage for mutual development, get ready to have firm foundation to reach out to the great sea, confidently participate in the value chain in the period of deep and broad international economic integration.

In addition, enterprises need to build corporate image and culture associated with good implementation of social responsibility in the production and business process.

In the framework of the Honoring Ceremony, representatives of enterprises exchanged, discussed, shared experiences in production and business development, branding towards sustainable development.

Acknowledging the great contributions of the business community and entrepreneurs to the province’s socio-economic development in the 2017-2020 period, the Provincial People’s Committee honored and awarded trophies and certificates to 25 prominent enterprises, 15 typical entrepreneurs.
