Summarizing 5 years of implementing Project No. 81 of the Provincial People’s Committee

(LSO) – On October 30, 2020, the Provincial People’s Committee held a conference to summarize the 5-year implementation of Project No. 81/ĐA-UBND dated June 4, 2015 of the Provincial People’s Committee on national defense assurance for the period 2015 – 2020, with an orientation to 2030.

Attending the conference were Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Major General Hoang Van Huu, Deputy Commander of Military Region 1; leaders of divisions, departments, and agencies of Military Region 1; leaders of a number of departments, commissions of the province, districts and city.

Implementing the project, in the past 5 years, the Party committees and authorities at all levels have led, directed and strictly implemented the Party’s directives, resolutions, Government’s decrees and guiding documents on defense; well implementing the Party and State’s views and policies on foreign affairs, proactively implementing integration, and strengthening economic diplomacy. The Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee have focused on leading and directing all levels and sectors to closely implement socio-economic development with strengthening capacity and ensuring resources for national defense and security.

The good implementation of the project has contributed to ensuring the socio-economic development of the province to develop stably, and the people’s life is increasingly improved; security, border sovereignty, social order and safety, peace, friendship, cooperation are all maintained and develop; the all-people’s defense posture associated with the people’s security posture is becoming more and more solid, especially in key areas and border areas; the armed forces of the province have been built up and comprehensively strong in politics, thought and organization; it has a high tactical-technical qualifications, professional expertise and high combat readiness, it timely adjusts and supplements documents, plans on defensive combat, well performs the task of firmly protecting border sovereignty, maintaining political security, social order and safety in the area.

Speaking at the conference, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee proposed that all levels and branches from province to grassroots levels continue to thoroughly grasp and well implement the directives, resolutions, leading and directing documents of the Party, State the province on defense and military work; promote solidarity, promote economic, cultural – social development, actively ensure resources for national defense. The functional forces from the province to the grassroots level should focus on training and practice to be ready to fight, rehearse the defense area according to regulations, respond promptly when there is an emergency; gradually invest in building key defense projects in provincial and district combat bases, defense works on the border line; consolidate, invest in building more projects, works related to national defense such as roads, information, telecommunications, education, hospital, medical stations … building increasingly steady provincial defense areas.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit to 6 collectives and 7 individuals with excellent achievements in implementing the project.
