Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the People’s Police Force’s Traditional Day

On the afternoon of July 19, the Provincial Public Security held a ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the traditional day of the People’s Police force (July 20, 1962 – July 20, 2022).

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; members in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of departments, agencies and sectors of the province; leaders of The Investigation Police Department on Drug-related Crimes, Ministry of Public Security.

At the ceremony, the delegates heard leaders of the Provincial Public Security read the congratulatory letter to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People’s Police by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; watched a reportage on the process of formation, development and feats of the People’s Police force of Lang Son Public Security through the periods.

Over the past 60 years, along with the continuous growth of the People’s Police force nationwide, the People’s Police force of Lang Son Public Security has made great efforts to overcome all difficulties and challenges, slowly matured in all aspects, made many outstanding feats in protecting political security, maintaining social order and safety, effectively serving the cause of national liberation struggle, building and defending the nation.

Under the authorization of the State President, comrade Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee awarded the First Class Victory Medal to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ba Hanh, Head of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Division, Provincial Public Security

Notably, the force has contributed to preventing, repelling and reducing from nearly 1,000 criminal cases/year to about 350 cases/year, preventing the formation of criminal gangs operating in the style of the “Mafia”; discovered more than 400 special cases, dismantled more than 370 drug-related crime lines…

Under the authorization of the State President, Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee awarded the Second Class Victory Medal to the collective of the Surveillance Division, the Provincial Public Security.

Recognizing the contributions and sacrifices of the People’s Police force of Lang Son, the Party and State, the Ministry of Public Security has awarded many noble titles. Of which, 4 collectives and 9 individuals were conferred the title of Hero of the People’s Armed Forces; 92 collectives and individuals were awarded medals of all grades; thousands of collectives and individuals were rewarded at all levels for their outstanding achievements.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee recognized and praised the feats and achievements that generations of officers and employees of the People’s Police force have achieved in the past 60 years.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, he suggested that all leaders and officers of the People’s Police force of the Provincial Public Security continue to promote the glorious tradition and perform well all assigned tasks.

Under the authorization of the Prime Minister, Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee awarded the Prime Minister’s Certificate of Merit to individuals.

In particular, it is necessary to actively do well in grasping the situation, actively advise and propose solutions to protect security and order, and mobilize the synergy of the whole political system and the entire people into the cause of protecting national security; continue to innovate and improve the effectiveness of working measures; proactive and sensitive in grasping and forecasting the situation early and from afar; strengthen international cooperation and digital transformation in crime prevention and combat, strive to build Lang Son province into a safe and reliable destination, creating a stable and favorable environment for economic and social development…

He also suggested all levels, sectors, mass unions and the armed forces in the province to actively coordinate, support and create favorable conditions for the People’s Police force of the Provincial Public Security to successfully complete the task in the near future.

At the ceremony, authorized by Party and State leaders, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee awarded medals of merit of all grades, and awarded certificates of merit from the Prime Minister to individuals and collectives with outstanding achievements.
