Delegation of the Embassy of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in Vietnam and the Vietnam – DPRK Friendship Association visited and worked in Lang Son

On the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the 4th anniversary of the official visit of the Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea Kim Jong Un to Vietnam, on March 1, the delegation of the Embassy of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea  in Vietnam and the Vietnam – DPRK Friendship Association visited and worked in Lang Son. Delegates visited the exhibition booth at the Provincial Museum

Welcoming and working with the delegation were leaders of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Foreign Affairs; leaders of relevant units.

At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the history of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea . In which, it is affirmed that, over the past 73 years, the good traditional friendship between the two Parties and countries, nurtured and built by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il-sung , has been increasingly consolidated and developed.

In Lang Son, right after the event that Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea Kim Jong Un paid an official visit to Vietnam by train via Dong Dang International Railway Station (March 3, 2019), the province has directed relevant sectors to collect images, items and decorations to build this place into a tourist destination. Along with that, in 2020, the Provincial Museum also arranged thematic exhibition “Vietnam- Democratic People’s Republic of Korea relationship – Historical milestones” with many images and items about the history of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and DPRK. Up to now, the exhibition booth has welcomed thousands of visitors. Thereby it created interest and learning about the history of friendship between the two countries Vietnam – DPRK of all classes of people, especially the young generation.

During the working visit, the delegation visited tourist attractions at Dong Dang International Railway Station and the exhibition booth at the Provincial Museum.  At the destinations, Chargé d’affaires of the DPRK  Embassy in Vietnam expressed his gratitude to the leaders of Lang Son province for their interest in directing related sectors to build tourist attractions as well as exhibition booths with many precious images and items about the visits of leaders of the two parties and countries. The Ambassador affirmed that the close cooperation relationship between Vietnam and DPRK over the past 73 years has been growing; at the same time, he hoped that through exhibition and propaganda activities, visitors can better understand the good traditional relationship between the two countries. These are practical activities that contribute to improving and developing the friendship between Vietnam and DPRK  to be better.
