Lang Son launches pilot implementation of code of conduct in family

(LSO) – The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration the People’s Committee of Bac Son district in Lang Son province, held a ceremony on June 16 to launch the pilot implementation of a “code of conduct in family” and commend typical young families in Bac Son district in 2020.

Attending the event were leading officials of several provincial departments and sectors and the Bac Son District People’s Committee, 60 households in Bac Quynh commune, which pilot the application of the “code of conduct in family” and 18 young families in the district.

At the event, the participating households were introduced to criteria as well as the purpose and significance of implementing the “code of conduct in family”.

Specifically, the code of conduct includes two main set of criteria: general behaviours (respect, equality, love, sharing) and specific behaviours focusing on four relationships in the family: husband-wife (faithfulness, sentiment); grandparents – grandchildren, parents – children (exemplarity, love); grandchildren – grandparents, children – parents (gratitude, politeness); brothers-sisters (harmony, sharing).

The implementation of the code of conduct is expected to contribute to the performance of the family’s functions, especially the function of educating and preserving family happiness, and to bringing the values ​​of Vietnamese ethical and cultural standards into social life.

Young families are commended at the launching ceremony

At the ceremony, four typical households representing 60 households in Bac Quynh commune, Bac Son district, signed a commitment to fulfilling all the criteria set out by the code of conduct.

Also on this occasion, the Bac Son District People’s Committee commended and rewarded 18 young households representing 18 communes and towns in the district.

Bac Quynh commune is one of the two localities selected to pilot the application of the “code of conduct in family” in 2020./.
