Inauguration and handover ceremony of so called solidarity houses for poor households in Dinh Lap

(LSO) – In the afternoon of October 7th, the Lang Son’s Provincial Fatherland Front Committee in coordination with Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital to organize the inauguration ceremony to hand over the so- called- solidarity- house to poor households in Dinh Lap district. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Luong Trong Quynh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.

Previously, Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital funded the construction of 15 so called solidarity houses for poor households in Cuong Loi commune and Thai Binh commune of Dinh Lap district with the total grand of 65 million VND  per house. In addition, families, relatives and local people supported the construction through manual work to make contribution to completing the houses.

Up to now, 5 out 15 houses have been completed and put into use. The remaining building works have been basically completed and are scheduled to  be completed in November 2020. The walls of houses are built with bricks and concrete bricks, the roof is covered with bricks or steel sheets, and the floor is tiled with bricks or cement. The area of ​​each house is from 40 m2 to 80 m2.

Delegates presented support gifts to poor households at the ceremony

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee expressed his sincere thanks Hanoi Obstetrics Hospital for their support. He also hoped that that in the coming time Lang Son would continue to receive supports from the hospital in order to develop social security and reduce poverty.

Also on this occasion, Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital presented gifts to these poor households including a TV and 1 million VND in cash per support package with a total value of 60 million VND.
