– On April 13, the delegation of the Provincial People’s Committee led by Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, worked with the Department of Education and Training on ​​the situation of implementing educational tasks for the school year 2021-2022.

Accordingly, this school year, the province has 674 school units with over 205,000 pupils and students. From the beginning of the school year until now, the Department has fully issued documents to perform the key tasks of the 2021-2022 school year to all officers, teachers, employees, pupils and students in the whole sector; promptly implemented the directing documents of the Ministry of Education and Training, the province, the sector’s guiding documents to the affiliated units.

For the implementation of the tasks assigned by the Provincial People’s Committee in 2022, the Department of Education and Training has developed a focused implementation plan, basically ensuring the progress. In carrying out the educational tasks, the Department has actively prepared conditions and steps for the replacement of textbooks for grades 3, 7 and 10 in the school year 2022 – 2023; successfully organized the national exam for excellent students (the province had 54 contestants and won 12 prizes); participated in organizing the national science and technology contest for high school students, 2/2 projects won prizes (100%). At the same time, the implementation of the school year’s tasks has reached the set progress.

Speaking at the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee highly appreciated the implementation of tasks of the education and training sector in recent years.

He requested that the Department of Education and Training should continue to well perform in the COVID-19 prevention and control; strengthen propaganda and mobilization of parents and students about vaccination against COVID-19 for students from 5 to under 12 years old; direct educational institutions to ensure the progress to complete the school year; continue to advise the Provincial People’s Committee on the implementation of the Government’s resolutions on education development.

At the same time, it is requested to pay attention to directing the implementation of the key tasks for the school year approved by the Provincial People’s Committee, especially the review work, the organization of the upcoming 2^nd semester exam and the good implementation of the entrance exam to 10^th grade, the national high school graduation exam in 2022; actively advise the Provincial People’s Committee on the preparation of the staff to implement the new general education program in 2018.

At the same time, it is required to well implement emulation and commendation; proactively advise the Provincial People’s Committee on the education budget estimate; well perform the disbursement of public investment capital; proactively adjust and flexibly implement policies to support students in disadvantaged areas; actively review, adjust and recruit contract teachers in the units; develop a plan for training and retraining teachers; strengthen inspection and examination; pay attention to ethnic education, administrative reform; strengthen the socialization of education and so on.

He noted that the Department of Education and Training continue to coordinate with other departments and agencies to overcome problems in the implementation of related educational tasks in the upcoming time.
