Lang Son’s leaders inspect fight against acute respiratory disease

(LSO) – A working delegation led by Vice Chairman of the Lang Son provincial People’s Committee Ho Tien Thieu on February 6 inspected the prevention and control of the acute respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus in Trang Dinh and Van Lang districts.

The delegation examined the outbreak prevention and control in Quoc Khanh and Dao Vien communes of Trang Dinh district, and Thuy Hung and Tan Thanh communes of Van Lang district.

Through the inspection, they acknowledged that districts seriously followed directions of the Prime Minister, ministries and agencies concerned, and the provincial People’s Committee. They also completed disinfection at schools and residential areas.

Awareness campaigns were held in villages and communes while students and workers returning from China underwent regular health check-ups.

Speaking at the event, Thieu lauded the communes and two districts for promptly grasping the situation and building specific plans to cope with the outbreak.

He asked the districts to raise public awareness of effective prevention measures so as to avoid stirring public panic.

The districts were urged to better prepare for logistics and medical equipment, closely monitor those coming back from epidemic-hit areas, enhance environmental hygiene and disinfections there.
