A proud young party member with valedictorian achievement

As one of the candidates named on the “golden board” of the valedictorian achievements in the province’s 2023 high school graduation exam, Hua Xuan Thieu, a former student of Cao Loc High School, achieved 27.75 points in A00 block. More specifically, in May 2023, Hua Xuan Thieu was honored to join the Party at the age of 18.

Born and raised in a purely agricultural family in Gia Cat commune, Cao Loc district, from an early age, Hua Xuan Thieu witnessed the hardships of living that his parents had to go through. Understanding that hardship, Thieu is more determined to study. With his smart and hard-working qualities, during his three years of high school, Thieu won many awards at the provincial competition for excellent students. Specifically, in 3 high school years, he won 3 third prizes in Physics at this exam.

Sharing with us, Thieu said: When I found out that I was the valedictorian of block A00 in the province, I was very surprised and happy because I had difficulty with Chemistry. Previously, in the process of reviewing, Chemistry was the “weakest” subject in my exam, in the mock exam I only got 6.5 points, because my background knowledge is not solid, so many chemical reactions I don’t understand the nature that leads to doing wrong. In the last 2 months, I decided to “sprint” to review all the basic knowledge in the textbook, then review the advanced knowledge after mastering it.

It is known that in the 2023 High School Graduation Exam, Thieu’s A00 block grades were in turn: 9 points in math; Physics 9.5 points; Chemistry 9.25 points. With a score of 27.75, Thieu enrolled in the Faculty of Information Technology, Hanoi Post and Telecommunications Technology Academy.

Sharing more with us about the field of study, Thieu said: I have a passion for computers, since the 10th grade, I have started to learn and study programming. My fate came to me in 2022 when I was able to participate in the Robot Programming and Control Contest organized by the Department of Education and Training. The contest helps me to have a lot of new knowledge experiences, helps some problems in programming that I don’t understand, since then, my passion has grown bigger and bigger, I’ve been trying to study non-stop to get into the career I want.

Not only have remarkable academic achievements, but also in activities launched by the Youth Union such as Green Sunday, young people volunteer in the summer, supporting the exam season, and the programs “repay gratitude”… Thieu always participates with enthusiasm and dynamism. With his own efforts, Thieu was honored to stand in the ranks of the Party at the age of 18.

Commenting on his students, teacher Pham Xuan Vu, teacher of Cao Loc High School, class teacher of Hua Xuan Thieu (school year of 2022 – 2023) said: Thieu is a good student, hardworking in study and exemplary, always enthusiastically participating in school and class activities. He is really a shining example for the students of the lower class to study and follow.
