Leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee welcome the delegation of the Executive Board of the Provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha to visit and wish the New Year

On the morning of February 5, the  Executive Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha led by Venerable Thich Quang Truyen, member of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, to extend Tet’s greeting to the Provincial People’s Committee on the occasion of the 2024 Lunar New Year. Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ho Tien Thieu chaired the reception.

At the meeting, Venerable Thich Quang Truyen expressed his gratitude to the Provincial People’s Committee and all levels and sectors over the past time for always helping, caring, and creating conditions for the Executive Board  of the Provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha to carry out Buddhist and social security activities; encourage believers and Buddhists to comply with the Party’s guidelines, policies and laws of the State. On the occasion of the 2024 Lunar New Year, on behalf of the Executive Board of the Provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Venerable Thich Quang Truyen wished the provincial leaders health, peace and happiness.

On behalf of the leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Ho Tien Thieu gave an overview of the province’s socio-economic development situation in 2023 and the plan and goals for socio-economic development in 2024. He  respectfully acknowledges the contributions of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province during the past time, especially in social security work, building roads to border milestones, bridges, guiding Buddhist people to well implement movements to build a civilized lifestyle…

The Chairman hopes that the Venerable, lay followers, and Buddhists will continue to promote great national unity and mobilize fellow Buddhists to promote the spirit of “protecting the country and protecting the people” and always complying well with the Party’s policies and laws, and the State’s laws, especially in religious activities; actively participate in social security activities, join hands to build Lang Son homeland more and more prosperous.
