Announce the general planning for the construction of Mau Son national tourist area until 2040

(LSO) – On November 6, in Loc Binh district, the People’s Committee of Lang Son province held a meeting to announce the general planning for the construction of Mau Son national tourist area until 2040, according to the Approval Decision No. 1590, dated October 16, 2020 of the Prime Minister.

Attending the meeting were Mr. Luong Trong Quynh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of departments, commissions, sectors and armed forces of the province; representatives of the Ministry of Construction; National Institute of Urban and Rural Planning, Sun Group; leaders of Loc Binh District Party Committee, People’s Committee, People’s Committee of communes and representatives of people in the area under the planning scope.

According to the general planning, Mau Son National Tourist Area includes the entire administrative areas of Cong Son and Mau Son communes (Cao Loc district), Mau Son commune (Loc Binh district) and a part of the administrative areas of Khanh Xuan, Dong Buc, Huu Khanh and Yen Khoai commues (Loc Binh district).

The planned area is over 14,960 ha, divided into 7 regions with different characteristics and uses. Forecasted the regular population in the area by 2030 is 12,000 people, by 2040, it is 18,000 people.

Mau Son National Tourist Area will include the complex of entertainment, religious beliefs, culture and sports, tourism services, accommodation and luxurious resorts, scientific research on nature, ecological environment … in accordance with development requirements, investment attraction and socio-economic development promotion of Lang Son province.

Regarding public transportation in the area, electrical and cable cars will be used. In particular, the cable car route is about 5.8 km long through many forest canopies and mountainous terrain which will give tourists a full view over the beauty of Mau Son National Tourist Area … It is expected that, by 2030, the tourist area will welcome about 1 million visitors, by 2040, it will be about 1.5 million visitors.

At the meeting, the representatives of the Ministry of Construction handed over the documents of the master plan to build Mau Son National Tourism Area until 2040 to the leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee.

Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasized that: “The master plan for construction of Mau Son National Tourist Area to 2040 approved by the Prime Minister is of great importance in the strategy of building and developing Lang Son province in general.”

In order to effectively implement the objectives of the planning project, the Provincial People’s Committee assigned the Department of Construction to develop region planning, detailed planning to advise the Provincial People’s Committee to direct, ensure the consistency and unity with planning; to research the building, to propose the list and implementation process of priority investment projects etc.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment reviewed the overall land price to adjust and add locations, build land prices into the land price list of Loc Binh and Cao Loc districts, ensuring that it is consistent with the plan, close to reality and in accordance with current law …
