Announcing the community tourist site of Yen Thinh, Huu Lien and introducing mountain climbing tourism product

(LSO) – On October 24, in Yen Thinh commune, Huu Lung district, Lang Son Provincial Tourism Development Steering Committee held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Provincial People’s Committee to recognize the community tourism site of Yen Thinh, Huu Lien and introduce mountain climbing sport tourism product in Yen Thinh commune.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; representatives of General Department of Tourism, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; and representatives of several departments, commissions, sectors, unions, districts and city.

The community tourism site of Yen Thinh commune is 21km north to the center of Huu Lung district along the provincial roadway 243. Yen Thinh is favored by nature with its rugged limestone mountains, interesting caves, crystal clear lakes and streams winding around the valley.

In addition to its magnificent natural scenery, Yen Thinh is also home to 4 ethnic groups with the traditional stilt houses of 3 or 5 compartments. With the interesting natural landscape and unique cultural features, Yen Thinh welcomes about 4,000 tourists every year to visit.

The community tourism site of Huu Lien commune is located about 25 km north to the center of Huu Lung district. The commune has a total area of ​​more than 6,000 hectares, a population of more than 3,000 people, including mainly Kinh, Tay, Nung, Dao and Mong ethnic groups.

Huu Lien is surrounded by limestone mountains, in the middle, there are lowland forests and field valleys. In particular, Huu Lien has many traditional stilt houses with many specialties such as Lam sour stream fish, smoked pork, grilled rolls, black banh chung … In addition, visitors can also experience interesting activities such as catching fish, harvesting rice, riding basket boat, climbing mountain etc. From the beginning of 2020 up to now, the community tourism villages in Huu Lien have welcomed more than 1,000 domestic and international visitors.

At the ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee awarded the recognition decision of the People’s Committee of Lang Son province to the leaders of the People’s Committee of Huu Lien commune and Yen Thinh commune.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee affirmed that Huu Lung was a district with many potentials and advantages for the development of community tourism in Huu Lien, Yen Thinh … Recently, the People’s Committee of Lang Son province has directing the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with relevant departments and branches, the People’s Committee of Huu Lung district to develop community tourism sites of Huu Lien, Yen Thinh and mountain climbing sport product in Yen Thinh to serve the needs of tourists, creating an attractive destination, contributing to diversifying tourism products, promoting tourism products of Huu Lung district in particular, Lang Son province in general.

He also reminded Huu Lung district departments, branches and People’s Committee to promote activities, to support investors, to focus investment resources to develop community tourism spots of Huu Lien and Yen Thinh in the direction of advance, modern, high quality. The People’s Committee of Huu Lung district, the People’s Committee of the two communes and people should preserve the landscape, the environment, preserve and promote traditional local cultures, promote and replicate the models of homestay community tourism.
