Preparing for receiving tourists in “peak” season

Tourists often come to Lang Son province in the first months of the year, therefore, on this occasion, tourism sector of the province and related units and businesses have implemented many solutions to effectively receive and serve visitors.

Attending the Festival of Mother Goddess Temple in Dong Dang town, Cao Loc district on January 10, 2023, Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, a tourist from Hung Yen city, Hung Yen province excitedly said: “I have been here since early morning and very impressed with the scale of this year’s festival. Although there are a lot of visitors here, the local government has well prepared and managed to avoid traffic jam, to maintain security and order. I come to know that this year, along with the opening ceremony of Dong Dang festival, the Party committee and government of Cao Loc district also receives a certificate recognizing Thuy Mon Dinh site as a national historical relic. Honestly, I feel very happy to visit and experience the land with a rich historical tradition.”

This year’s Dong Dang Festival has attracted over 10,000 visitors. Along with organizing this festival, from the beginning of the year until now, many activities with the aim of promoting tourism in the early spring of Cao Loc have been organized. Specifically, relevant levels and sectors in the district have built tours to peach and plum gardens; introduced the location and phone number of the owners of peach and plum gardens; organized lion-cat dance festival performance at district level …

Not only Cao Loc district, other localities in the province are also actively renewing their tourist attractions. Typically, Binh Gia district held a crop-praying festival on 9^th of the first lunar month in Mong An commune in association with the announcement ceremony of it as a local tourist attraction. Additionally, they also opened the week of wearing national costumes and the culinary contest of making sticky rice and chung cake at the festival. Bac Son District People’s Committee actively organized Na Nhem festival and mobilized 10 additional houses as accomodation. The People’s Committee of Lang Son city has also well prepared to welcome tourists on this occasion.

Ms. Hoang Thuy Ninh, Deputy Head of the City’s Culture and Information Division said: “In the past time, we have combined to tours, tourist routes … with activities such as the 6^th Quang Lac Peach Blossom Fair and Xu Lang Peach Blossom Festival…; attaching importance to tourism promotion activities with the organization of festivals such as Quang Lac crop-praying festival associated with the announcement ceremony of Pac Moong communal house relic as a provincial relic; the opening ceremony of the Tam Thanh pagoda festival in association with the opening of the digitization application of Nhi Thanh – Tam Thanh tourist attraction, To Thi mountain, Mac citadel; At the same time, we organized the competition of culinary flavors of Lang Son city in association with Ky Cung – Ta Phu festival…

Along with the efforts of the local tourism sector, many travel businesses and accommodation establishments in the province also offer attractive discounts such as 10% discount on its buffet menu of 5-star Four Point hotel; a newly-opened  buffet restaurant with a menu of more than 100 dishes from seafood, beef, chicken, salad, fried food – grilled – salad of New Century hotel and restaurant system, customers who book  in advance will get a 10% discount on the total bill… 5-25% discount on room service of Muong Thanh Hotel ….

Mr. Hoang Duc Hanh, Head of Muong Thanh Lang Son Hotel and Restaurant Division said: “Up to now, the number of guests booking at the hotel, from 22^nd to 27^th of the first lunar month, has reached 90%. Mr. Nguyen Phuc Ha, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said: “In order to carefully prepare to welcome tourists, the Department has sent a document on service of tourists in the beginning of the year to the Culture and Information Division of districts, Lang Son city, businesses, and tourism service businesses. The Department also requested the units and businesses operating in tourism in the province to strictly abide by law on activities  of travel business, tourist transport, tourist accommodation, management of tourist attractions and  services for tourists; to well implement safety measures, rules on polite tourism behavior…

It is believed that with such a thorough preparation of businesses on tourism services and the active participation of the authorities, Lang Son will provide tourist with interesting experiences  this spring.
