Opening the Culture, Sports and Tourism Week of Xu Lang in 2023

On the evening of February 11, the Provincial Organizing Committee of activities to congratulate the Party and celebrate the Lunar New Year in 2023 held the opening of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Week of Xu Lang and launched the Week of Lang Son ethnic costumes.

There are 15 unique performances in the opening ceremony imbued with national identity, attracting the cheers of the masses and tourists, typically the singing and dancing performance “When the spring comes to Xu Lang”, the drum performance “Spring aspiration”, the singing and dancing performance “Spring colors in Xu Lang”, the dance performance “Lay co”, the traditional costume performance “Colors of Xu Lang”… The ceremony witnessed the participation of nearly 140 artists and actors from the Provincial Arts and Culture Center, artisans, members of folk song and lion dance clubs in the province and especially the participation of 2nd runner-up Miss Vietnam Sea and Island Nguyen Thu Hang and singer Minh Quan.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized: “After more than 2 years of interruption due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Culture, Sports and Tourism Week of Lang Son is opened, becoming an important highlight in the series of activities to congratulate the Party and celebrate the Lunar New Year 2023. The Organizing Committee hopes that activities within the framework of Culture, Sports and Tourism Week will bring tourists most interesting experience when discovering the land in the border of the country; It also can actively promote the development of the economic, cultural – social fields of the province, contributing to making Lang Son a friendly tourist destination, attracting domestic and foreign tourists.

At the opening ceremony, the Provincial Organizing Committee of activities to congratulate the Party and celebrate the Lunar New Year in 2023 launched the Week of Lang Son ethnic costumes in 2023, from February 12 to February 17, 203 (22^nd to 27^th of the first lunar month in the year of the Cat). People should wear ethnic costumes at Ky Lua Walking Street and on the streets where the procession of the Ky Cung – Ta Phu Temple Festival passes; at places where cultural activities, arts and festivals take place in the province.
