Announcing the protection title of the collective trademark “Xu Lang peach blossom”

– On December 21, the Gardening Association of Lang Son province held a ceremony to announce the protection title of the collective trademark “Xu Lang peach blossom”. Attending the ceremony were the leaders of departments, commissions and sectors and peach growing households in the province.

According to statistics, the province currently has about 320 hectares of peach trees, of which 154 hectares are for fruit, 168 hectares are ornamental peach trees in all districts and city. Particularly, it concentrates mainly in districts of Cao Loc, Huu Lung, Loc Binh, Bac Son, and Lang Son city. Lang Son peach blossom is evaluated as a product of good quality with beautiful flower color, many shades, long lasting time, thick petals, unique shape and color of bark. Currently, Lang Son peach blossom is consumed in the markets of Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh…

However, the peach blossom of Lang Son province does not have a brand name, its price is still unstable, the growers have not paid attention to improving product quality… In order to brand and form concentrated commodity production areas, create a large volume of products and goods of good quality, meeting market demand, from July 2020 to November 2021, the Provincial Gardening Association have built an application for a certificate of collective trademark protection for peach blossom trees. On December 9, 2021, the National Office of Intellectual Property, Ministry of Science and Technology issued Decision 95015/QD – IPHT on granting certificate of trademark registration for Xu Lang peach tree.

At the announcement ceremony, leaders of the Department of Science and Technology awarded the protection title of the collective trademark “Xu Lang peach blossom” to the Provincial Gardening Association.
