Opening ceremony of the 2022 Xu Lang Spring Press Festival: Nearly 400 publications are on display

– On the afternoon of January 24, at the Lang Son Provincial Library, the Provincial Journalists Association coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; The Department of Information and Communications held the opening ceremony of the 2022 Spring Press Festival.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Dinh Huu Hoc, Member of Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Council; leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of departments, divisions and sectors; officials and reporters of central and local press agencies.

This year’s spring press festival has 8 exhibition booths of the following units: Provincial Journalists Association, Lang Son Newspaper, Provincial Radio and Television Station, Literature and Arts Association, Provincial Library and central press agencies residing in Lang Son such as  Nhandan Newspaper, Vietnam News Agency, Tien Phong Newspaper with nearly 400 publications in all types: print, audio, video, and electronic. Participating in the exhibition are also press publications of central and provincial press agencies.

Not only creative and eye-catching in terms of presentation, the contents of the press products displayed at this year’s Spring Press Festival are publications and journalistic works that comprehensively and vividly reflect the fields of politics, economy, culture – society, defense – security of the country and of the province in 2021; orientation for 2022 and diverse perspectives, objective, honest and multidimensional assessment of issues occurring in social life.

Mr. Dinh Huu Hoc, Provincial Party Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council and other delegates cut the ribbon to open the 2022 Xu Lang Spring Press Festival.

In the opening speech, Mr. Hoang Dinh Hom, Provincial Party Member, Editor-in-Chief of Lang Son Newspaper, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association highlighted the significance of Xu Lang Spring Newspaper Festival as a practical activity in a series of activities to celebrate the Party, celebrate the 2022 Lunar New Year of the province, The Spring Press Festival is also a gathering place for works of newspapers, magazines, journals, special issues of spring and Tet issues of central press agencies, newspapers of provinces and cities nationwide and of the province.

Thereby, the festival contribute to giving cadres, party members, people, readers, radio listeners and television viewers an overall view of the innovation and development of the homeland and the country through various forms of publications, press products across the country in general, and newspapers of Lang Son province in particular.

The Spring Press Festival takes place from now until February 10, 2022 (January 10 in lunar calendar)

At the end of the exhibition period, the organizer will donate publications to people and soldiers in remote and difficult areas in the province.
