Lang Son business association celebrates Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day

(LSO) – The Business Association of Lang Son province on October 10 held a ceremony to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day (October 13) and review the association’s performance in 2019.

The event saw the participation of Hoang Van Nghiem, Permanent Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; and Pham Ngoc Thuong, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.

Delegates highlighted the outstanding achievements of the Vietnamese business community over the past 15 years since the Prime Minister signed a decision to select October 13 as the Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day.

They reviewed the development and contributions of local businesses and entrepreneurs during the national integration process.

The Lang Son Business Association always pays attention to social welfare work every year. Since early this year, its members have contributed nearly 2 billion VND (86,133 USD) to supporting and implementing such programmes as “Tet for the poor”, “sea and island”, and “studying promotion fund” while actively participating in the new-style rural building, especially transportation, with a total investment of nearly 8.5 billion VND (over 366,000 USD).

Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Pham Ngoc Thuong hailed the business community for contributing to local socio-economic development and highly appreciated the role of the provincial Business Association in connecting businesses and supporting their operations.

He hoped in the coming time local businesses would strengthen solidarity and connection and improve management and production to contribute more to the local socio-economic development.

On the occasion, the Cua Dong development investment consultancy joint stock company was honoured to receive the second-class Labour Order of the President and the emulation flag of the Government. Two local entrepreneurs were presented with the Prime Minister’s cerfiticate of merit while 22 businesses and 17 entrepreneurs were honoured with the certificate of merit of the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.
