Showing the highest determination to complete the budget collection plan

(LSO) – On October 22, the Provincial Steering Committee for State Budget Collection held the preliminary summing-up meeting on the work of budget collection in the first nine months of 2020, launching tasks in the last months of 2020. Mrs. Doan Thu Ha, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for State Budget Collection chaired the meeting.

From early 2020 up to now, the Provincial Steering Committee for State Budget Collection has focused on directing member agencies, the steering committees for state budget collection in districts and the city to synchronously deploy, closely coordinate the implementation of collection measures, against budget revenue loss. However, the Covid-19 epidemic has a direct impact on the results of general budget revenues in the province.

Specifically, in the nine months of 2020, the total budget revenue in the province has been more than 4,750 billion VND, reaching 77.2% of the estimate and equaling 93.1% as compared to the same period in 2019. Of which, domestic revenue is 2,056 billion VND, as much as 74.8% of the estimate assigned by the province, equaling 88.1% over the same period; import and export tax revenue is over 2,694 billion VND, reaching 87.19% of the estimate, equaling 102, 7% over the same period.

To complete the tasks of the State budget revenue in 2020, in the last three months of 2020 the province needs to collect 1,399 billion VND. In which, domestic revenue is 694 billion VND; import and export revenue is 705 billion VND.

At the meeting, delegates discussed and evaluated the achieved results in the budget collection in the last nine months of 2020. At the same time, they proposed solutions to improve the efficiency of budget collection in the remaining months of the year.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasized that despite facing many difficulties due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the results of budget revenue in the province are basically in progress and are higher than the national average rate. However, the 9-month budget collection has still faced a number of difficulties such as some revenues and taxes that have not been reached yet; high tax arrears and so on.

Regarding the tasks of budget collection in the last months of 2020, the Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee asked departments, agencies and District and City People’s Committees to focus on solving difficulties, creating a favorable business environment for businesses; continue to implement drastic measures of revenue collection tasks, combat budget revenue loss; propagate to raise awareness and responsibility of taxpayers; promote administrative reform, create the best conditions for taxpayers; speed up auction of land and properties attached to land; review, seriously implement inspection and audit conclusions and so on.

Members of the Provincial Steering Committee for State Budget Collection, the Steering Committees for State Budget Collection in districts and the city must continue to closely follow functions and tasks to be proactive in budget collection. Thereby, it will show determination to strive to complete the budget revenue plan 2020.
