Leaders of provincial People’s Committee meet representatives of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group

(LSO) – Ho Tien Thieu, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Lang Son province, on September 10 chaired a working session with representatives of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group. During the meeting, Thieu introduced the local investment environment and considered the group’s suggestions about some infrastructure and logistics projects at border gates in Lang Son.

The Hoang Anh Gia Lai side was headed by Do Xuan Dien, Vice Chairman of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Agricultural JSC.

At the meeting, Thieu stressed that Lang Son always welcomes and facilitates the long-term operation of the group in the province.

He highlighted the province’s potential and advantages in investment attraction, as well as the areas in which the locality is calling for investment.

For his part, Dien said the group wants to study the building of a 30-ha warehouse in Tan My commune, Van Lang district, to sort and preserve farm produce before shipping them to China.

In this regard, representatives of local agencies and department provided the group with necessary information as well as Lang Son’s policies, and suggested some solutions like setting up joint ventures with local firms which have invested in border gate warehouses.

Thieu stressed that the provincial People’s Committee agreed in principle to allow the group to conduct study of locations at bordergates, adding that after Hoang Anh Gia Lai decides a suitable location, it should promptly submit the project to the committee for consideration before the project is submitted to the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board.

He also asked the group to pay attention to inland container depots which the province wants to develop, as well as investment in agricultural development.
