The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee inspects key projects in Loc Binh district and Lang Son city

On January 5, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Doan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for site clearance of key provincial projects inspected Mau Son cable car and eco-tourism complex project (Loc Binh district) and Hoang Dong – Lang Son golf course hotel project (Lang Son city).

Attending the inspection were Members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of departments and sectors; steering committee for site clearance of Loc Binh district and Lang Son city.

According to the report, by the end of 2022, the investors are focusing on site clearance and construction according to the design. However, the implementation progress of these two key projects is behind schedule.

Specifically, the Mau Son cable car and eco-tourism complex is divided into 3 projects. Up to now, the investor has surrounded the top of Mau Son mountain with corrugated iron sheets in project 1 to level the ground. The project 2 and project 3 including departure station area in Khanh Xuan commune, Phat Chi entertainment and eco-tourism area and cable car service…have not started.

Regarding site clearance, currently, households have handed over 34 hectares of land to the People’s Committee of Loc Binh district for project 1 and project 2 with a total compensation  of more than 43 billion VND.

For the Hoang Dong golf course hotel project, Lang Son city, the investor is currently building commercial houses, leveling the resettlement site, completing the golf course and a number of other items which have yet been started.

In terms of site clearance, for the project with an area of ​​nearly 200 hectares, by the end of 2022, the People’s Committee of Lang Son city has cleared 157 hectares. Currently, the City People’s Committee is focusing on compensation, support and resettlement of the golf course area and published a notice on land acquisition for the concentrated cemetery in Hoang Dong commune to relocate the graves in the project area of 2.37 hectares.

At the meeting, leaders of Loc Binh district, Lang Son city, the investors explained more clearly about the implementation of compensation and resettlement support, the causes of the project’s delay.

Concluding the inspection, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledged the efforts of localities and investors in implementing ground clearance, the construction of the works and project advertisement.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the districts and cities to closely coordinate with investors to accelerate the progress of site clearance, he asked the investors to prepare for timely compensation for affected households. In addition, the investors were required to focus on human and material resources to carry out the construction of the items according to the design at the sites that have been cleared.

The Department of Construction supports the investor of the Hoang Dong golf course hotel project in the procedures to submit to the Ministry of Construction for appraisal and approval of the overall construction design of the project.

Relevant departments and sectors would closely follow the direction of the Provincial Steering Committee for Site Clearance, proactively grasp the implementation situation, guide and assist investors to remove arising difficulties and obstacles during implementation according to their functions and tasks. Problems arising beyond their authority should be reported directly to the Provincial Steering Committee for timely solutions.
