Awarding 48 prizes to individuals who won the writing competition and the song composing competition about Mr. Luong Van Tri

(LSO) – On August 27, Lang Son Steering Committee for Major Holidays Celebrations held an award ceremony for the writing competition “Learning about Mr. Luong Van Tri’s life, revolutionary activities and great dedication to the cause of the Vietnamese revolution” and the song composing competition about Mr. Luong Van Tri and his homeland – Van Quan.

Attending the award ceremony were Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Major Holidays Celebrations; leaders of the Commission for Propaganda of the Provincial Party Committee, some provincial departments, committees, agencies and delegates of the Vietnam Musicians’ Association.

The writing competition to learn about Mr. Luong Van Tri’s life, revolutionary activities and great dedication to the Vietnamese revolutionary cause has been held since January 2020, after five months of launching, the whole province has a total of 24,090 entries by the grassroots party committees.

The grassroots party committees conducted preliminary assessment and selected 7,836 entries to send to district, city party committees and equivalent party committees. The district party committees, the city party committee, party committees under the province held preliminary assessment and selected 436 entries to participate in the provincial competition. Some authors’ entries have had lots of creativity, many models, drawings, tapes, discs and so on to enliven the works participating in the competition.

The leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and the Commission for Propaganda of the Provincial Party Committee awarded first, second and third prizes to authors winning the writing competition.

As a result, the Provincial Competition Organizing Committee decided to award 34 prizes (one first prize, three second prizes, six third prizes, 24 consolation prizes) and two thematic prizes to the oldest participant and the youngest participant in the competition. Through reviewing and assessing the quality of the competition participation of 15 district, city, and affiliated party committees, the Competition Organizing Committee decided to award certificates of merit to three collectives with excellent achievements in implementing the competition, including party committees: Van Quan district, Van Lang district and the provincial public security.

The song composing competition about Mr. Luong Van Tri and his hometown – Van Quan was launched by the Provincial Literature and Arts Association from March 2020 to July 30, 2020.

The leader of the Commission for Propaganda of the Provincial Party Committee awarded certificates of merit from the Competition Organizing Committee to three party committees with excellent achievements

After more than five months of launching, the Organizing Committee has received 27 entries from 20 professional and amateur musicians all over the country. In which, there are 15 songs of nine authors in the province; 12  songs of 11 authors outside the province. As a result, the Organizing Committee decided to award 12 prizes to 12 authors, including three second prizes, four third prizes, five consolation prizes.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Head of Lang Son Steering Committee for Major Holidays Celebrations acknowledged and praised the efforts of all levels, agencies, units, especially, the Vietnam Musicians’ Association has contributed to successfully organizing the two competitions and he affirmed that this is a practical and meaningful activity to celebrate Mr. Luong Van Tri’s 110th birthday anniversary.

He requested that in the coming time, all levels and agencies continue to strengthen propaganda about Mr. Luong Van Tri’s life, revolution cause and great dedication to the Vietnamese revolution associated with practical and appropriate emulation movements. Rewarded collectives, individuals need to actively promote, deeply and broadly spread their achievements, continue to make contributions to building and developing the homeland.

In the program, leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People’s Committee, and the Commission for Propaganda of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Vietnam Musicians’ Association, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association awarded 48 prizes to the authors winning the writing competition and the song composing competition; awarding certificates of merit from the Competition Organizing Committee to three party committees with excellent achievements in the writing competition.
