Leaders of Provincial People’s Committee received and worked with Mayor of Buzen city, Japan

On the afternoon of July 20, Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee received and worked with Mr. Goto Motohide, Mayor of Buzen City, Japan. Attending the meeting were leaders of a number of provincial departments and agencies.

At the meeting, Mr. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee expressed his pleasure to welcome the Mayor of Buzen city to visit and work in Lang Son. The Vice Chairman informed general information about the socio-economic situation of Lang Son; the training of human resources of the province and affirmed that Lang Son has determined to focus on training human resources to serve the immediate and long-term local development.

Mr. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee wished that the Mayor of Buzen city and the delegation would share experiences in human resource training so that Lang Son province could provide laborers to work in Buzen city; share experiences in cooperation so that Lang Son province can attract investment and comprehensive cooperation in many fields.

Agreeing with the opinion of Mr. Standing Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Lang Son province, the Mayor of Buzen city gave an overview of Japan’s labor needs; especially the fields where Japan in general and the city of Buzen in particular are in high demand for labor such as: agriculture, nursing; information technology, electricity, electronics…

He also shared information about the requirements for workers working in Japan and suggested: Along with vocational skills training, Lang Son province needs to pay attention to Japanese language training for workers so that they have the opportunity to live and work in Japan for a long time, working in fields that require high-quality human resources and have high income. Buzen city government is ready to support Lang Son in human resource training; introduce companies, businesses and schools to support Lang Son in training vocational skills and foreign languages for students and employees.

Through exchange and discussion at the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and the Mayor of Buzen agreed that in the coming time, they will continue to discuss more specifically to achieve the highest efficiency in training human Resources. In which, it will focus on research and exchange on cooperation in the direction of Lang Son focusing on training occupations that Buzen city is in need of labor or sending students to train directly in Japan to provide skilled labor for Japan in general and the city of Buzen in particular.

During the working program, Mr. Goto Motohide handed over a letter from the Buzen city government thanking Lang Son province for donating medical supplies and supporting Buzen city in the prevention of COVID-19.
