On the afternoon of July 30, Mrs.  Doan Thu Ha, Vice Chairwoman of Lang Son Provincial People’s Committee received and worked with the delegation of Son La People’s Committee led by Mr. Dang Ngoc Hau Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee visiting and exchanging experience in digital transformation in Lang Son province.

At the meeting, the delegation listened to the reports on the digital transformation of Lang Son province in the past time. Accordingly, Lang Son is the first province in the country to successfully implement digital border gates and to popularize the application “Xu Lang Digital Citizen” within the province. Up to now, Lang Son ranks second nationwide in terms of products on Vietnam’s e-commerce floor. In 2021, the PAPI (Public Administration Performance Index) of Lang Son province ranks fourth out of 63 provinces and cities, up 33 places compared to 2020. Its Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) 2021 ranks 36th out of 63 provinces and cities, 6th out of 14 provinces and cities in the Northern mountainous region. In particular, the initiative on building a community digital technology team and operating a digital border gate platform can be replicable nationwide.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People’s Committee thanked Lang Son province for welcoming the delegation and congratulated Lang Son province on its the achievements over time. He briefly informed about the socio-economic development status of Son La province. He emphasized that Son La province was currently focusing on implementing many synchronous solutions to accelerate the digital transformation process in all fields. Therefore, the province wished to learn and exchange experience on digital transformation of Lang Son province to create motivation and accelerate the process of digital transformation in its locality.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee also shared some experience in implementing digital transformation, which is the high determination of the whole political system, determining the right direction and considering people as an important factor. At the same time, it was necessary to define a comprehensive and comprehensive digital transformation in all fields, but with a focus and priority and to build a good digital infrastructure.
