Provincial People’s Committee leaders met the delegation of the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese

(LSO) – In the afternoon of October 7, Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee chaired a meeting with the delegation of the Association for Overseas Vietnamese Liaison led by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Lan Trung, Vice Rector Head of University of Foreign Languages ​​- National University of Hanoi, General Secretary of Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese, and the head of the delegation for the implementation of the Korean traditional heating system project in Lang Son.

During the meeting, the head of the delegation introduced to the Provincial People’s Committee the project on Transferring Technologies of Building Traditional Korean Heating Systems to the ethnic minorities of the northern mountainous provinces. The project aimed to introduce the structure of Korean traditional background heating system, the advantages, principles and science of the Korean traditional background heating system.

At the same time, they both discussed the conditions to implement the Korean traditional heating system project in order to equip kindergartens in cold areas of Lang Son with heaters.  Accordingly, the association will pilot a sample of a traditional Korean heater at a school in the province (selected by Lang Son Department of Education and Training) with a support fund of 45 million VND / a heater (including expenditures for labor and materials). At the same time, the Association promised to support technology transfer to workers in Lang Son province to replicate in the next phase.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of Lang Son People’s Committee acknowledged and thanked the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese for the support and the introduction of the project to the province.

He hoped  that the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese would promptly implement the project in the province in order to construct more heaters for primary school and kindergartens providing good studying conditions for Lang Son children in cold winters.

He assigned the Department of Education and Training to coordinate with the Overseas Vietnamese Liaison Association to survey and select a suitable school to build a suitable under floor heater.
