Opening of a co-working area to support the innovation and startup ecosystem

– On April 19, the Department of Science and Technology held the opening ceremony of the Co-Working Area to support the innovation and startup ecosystem in Lang Son province and the Workshop on “Promoting the role of co-working area in supporting the IEM”.

The co-working area to support the innovation and startup ecosystem in Lang Son province is located on the 4th floor of the Department of Science and Technology headquarters with an area of ​​270 m2, the total investment capital from the State budget is 1.5 billion VND. The co-working area includes basic spaces such as the office of the management board, co-working space, large hall, conference room, meeting room, document room.

The co-working area is fully invested with equipment such as computers, internet connection, projectors, photocopiers, led screens, scanners, documents, working desks…

When in operation, the co-working area to support the innovation and startup ecosystem of Lang Son province will be the place to provide start-up training courses, to organize activities to support innovation and startup, to connect investors and customers. This is also a space for startup groups to work, meet to learn, exchange experiences and support each other in realizing startup ideas.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee asked the Department of Science and Technology to proactively issue operating regulations to effectively use this public asset, assigning experienced and knowledgeable civil servants and employees in the field of innovation and startup in order to perform well their tasks; annually evaluation of the effectiveness of the co-working area to report and propose to the Provincial People’s Committee for comments and direction was requested. The Department of Science and Technology should continue to strengthen the connection of start-up and investor networks.

Agencies and units according to their functions and tasks should continue to pay attention, direct and coordinate in propagating and implementing activities suitable to the co-working area in an effective and comprehensive manner. Authors and groups of authors were expected to actively participate in the activities of the co-working space.

He also suggested that the Provincial Business Association and businesses in the province continue to pay attention and join hands to support and create material and spiritual conditions, and sponsor innovation and startup activities in the province.
