Continue to review and effectively implement key tasks of digital transformation

– On April 20, Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee worked with the Department of Information and Communications on the organization and implementation of the work in 2022 and the results of the first quarter, directions and tasks of the last 9 months of 2022. Attending the meeting were leaders of a number of related departments and sectors.

In the first quarter of 2022, the Department of Information and Communications has completed 2/4 of the key tasks of 2022 approved by the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, such as increase the online processing rate to 30% through the online public service portal; building a cloud electronic platform (Lang Son Cloud) to serve the digital transformation, building digital government, developing the digital economy and digital society of the province. At the same time, the department completes two tasks: deploying the construction of a land data portal in Lang Son province and the Xu Lang digital citizen platform. Other regular tasks have achieved the results and requirements set out.

In the last 9 months of 2022, the Department of Information and Communications will continue to advise and organize the implementation of two key tasks approved by the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee which are: strive to improve the ranking of digital transformation at the provincial level compared to the whole country by at least 2 ranks; strive that 80% of communes have radio stations, in which, 20% of communes have basic radio and information systems applying digital technology, digital platforms. Along with that is the implementation of 20 tasks on digital transformation in Party agencies, development of digital government, development of digital infrastructure, digital society, and development of digital border gates.

At the meeting, representatives of departments and sectors discussed and suggested that the Department of Information and Communications continue to coordinate and implement a number of tasks related to level 4 public services; integrate the provincial database with the National data portal; training IT staff; support businesses in digital transformation; carry out key tasks; handle administrative procedures in the network environment; project on development of broadcasting career 2021-2025; coordinate with departments in implementing digital transformation,..

Concluding at the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasized that the Department of Information and Communications has made many contributions to Lang Son province and the country in digital transformation; contribute to the comprehensive digital transformation.

In order to complete the tasks in the coming time, Mr. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee noted that the Department of Information and Communications actively review the documents issued by the central government of the province on digital transformation to promptly advise the Provincial People’s Committee to implement.

The Department continues to effectively implement 4 groups of key tasks and other tasks assigned by the Provincial People’s Committee; pay attention to the tasks of comprehensive digital transformation in all fields, ensuring the substance, best serving socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security of the province; actively train staff to carry out digital transformation.

The Department needs to strengthen coordination and direct telecommunications units to urgently connect telecom waves in villages, improve digital infrastructure, and strengthen radio frequency management; proactively advise on the implementation of safety and security management and handle violations on the internet; focus on building plans, basic information management planning; promulgate regulations and guidelines on visual promotion activities.

Along with that, the department needs to complete a project to develop basic information and a project to develop a broadcasting career in the 2021-2025 periods.
