Join hands to take care of the health of people with meritorious services

Upholding the tradition of “When drink water, think of its source”, “Repaying gratitude”, over the years, all levels and sectors have always paid attention to medical examination and treatment, care, nursing to restore health for people with meritorious services and relatives of people with meritorious services in the province.

Lang Son City General Clinic implements a free medical examination and treatment program for people with meritorious services in Vinh Trai ward, Lang Son city.

 Every year, all levels and branches in the province maintain and organize dozens of examinations, consultations, free medicine distribution, gift giving… for people with meritorious services and relatives of people with meritorious services to the revolution in the province on holidays, Tet, Invalids and Martyrs’ Day… The medical examination and treatment facilities well implement the regimes for people with meritorious services and their relatives when they come for examination and treatment. Along with that, the work of nursing to restore health to people with meritorious services and relatives of people with meritorious services to the revolution was also focused on implementation.

Diversifying nursing activities

 In order to effectively carry out nursing work for people with meritorious services and relatives of meritorious people, over the past time, The Provincial Nursing Center for people with meritorious services has been invested with more facilities and equipment to better meet the nursing work. In the period of 2019 – 2020, from the central budget to implement the Ordinance on Incentives for people with meritorious services, the center is focused on investing with a budget of over 8 billion VND to build a sauna room, build a new mixed-use building so far, 2 works have been completed and put into use and operation.

Along with investing in facilities, The Provincial Nursing Center for people with meritorious services has actively innovated to build and organize diverse and rich nursing programs and activities, suitable for each specific audience. Accordingly, at each nursing period, activities are developed by the center, reasonably arranged between treatment and recreational and recreational activities, meeting the needs of treatment and spirituality, helping people with meritorious services to nurse feel their health improved, confident, happy, comfortable, and secure nursing.

Mr. Pham Truong Pho, person with meritorious services to the delegation of Lang Son city shared: Going to the health care center at The Provincial Nursing Center for people with meritorious services,  I see that it has now been invested extensively, putting many new facilities and equipment into operation such as acupressure massage, drug immersion, massage therapy… suitable for our nursing needs.

Mr. Cao Son Thuy, Director of The Provincial Nursing Center for people with meritorious services said: Based on the assigned targets and the actual situation, the center actively builds a detailed nursing plan; fully prepare the resources to ensure the well-organized physical care activities, improve the spiritual life in accordance with the health of the patients who come to nurse at the center… From 2022 to July 2023, the center has organized 12 nursing and health rehabilitation sessions for over 600 people with meritorious services.

 Socializing the healthcare program for people with meritorious services

 Along with the nursing, health care treatment for people with meritorious services and their relatives according to the programs and plans of each district and city, over the years, businesses and private medical facilities have also had many activities, health check-up program, free medicine distribution for people with meritorious in the province. Notably, in the past 5-6 years, every year, the People’s Committee of Lang Son city maintains coordination with private medical facilities in the area to implement and implement the program.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hong Van, Vice Chairman of Lang Son City People’s Committee said:  Health care activities for policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services in Lang Son city is one of the series of activities directed by the province to effectively implement the Party’s guidelines and policies to take good care of all aspects of people with meritorious services, the families of war invalids and martyrs.

From 2018 to July 2023, in addition to coordinating in organizing nursing practice for nearly 1,500 people with meritorious, we also cooperated with medical facilities in the area to organize about 10 health checkups and provide free medicine for over 2,300 turns of patients and their relatives with the amount of socialization of nearly 1.3 billion VND.

Among the medical facilities participating in coordination with the City People’s Committee to organize the program of medical treatment and distribute free medicines to people with meritorious services and their relatives, such as: Hanoi – Lang Son Truong Sinh General Clinic (Branch of Truong Sinh Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company – Lang Son); Lang Son City General Clinic, facility no.1 and facility no.2 (Lang Son Pharmaceutical and Medical Supplies Joint Stock Company); Ngoc Lan International General Clinic (Thien Ngoc Lan Medical Joint Stock Company)… In which, in 2020 and 2022, Ngoc Lan International Clinic sponsored a health examination program for nearly 900 wounded soldiers and relatives of people with meritorious in the city with a total value of nearly 800 million VND; Hanoi – Lang Son Truong Sinh General Clinic and Lang Son City Center General Clinic, facility no.2 organized a health check-up program, provided free medicine to nearly 300 people with meritorious and their relatives in the city with a total value of about 300 million VND…

Mrs. Mai Thi Hang, Deputy Director of Lang Son Pharmaceutical and Medical Supplies Joint Stock Company said: In recent years, with the spirit of ” When drink water, think of its source “, “repaying gratitude”, the company has cooperated with the People’s Committee of the city and a number of districts such as Chi Lang, Loc Binh, Dinh Lap to organize health care programs, distribute drugs to people with meritorious, policy families with thousands of subjects were examined and given free medicines, with a total value of over 1 billion VND. In addition, the company also sponsored drugs, sent human resources to join with units such as: Red Cross Society, Lang Son Provincial Youth Union in medical examination and treatment for policy beneficiaries, people with meritorious services in the province…

During the medical examination and free medicine distribution in July 2023 at Hanoi – Lang Son Truong Sinh General Clinic, Mrs. Trinh Thi En, wife of martyr Ha Van Loc, Hoang Dong commune, Lang Son city attended the examination, she shared: Every year, my family is given gifts by all levels, sectors and cities on the occasion of Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, holidays and Tet, and participates in health care and nursing programs, so I am very excited. The programs have helped motivate me and help me and my family members promptly detect health problems for treatment.

Mr. Nguyen Van Giang, Deputy Director of the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs said: Every year, in response to the Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, gratitude activities are held extensively with various forms and methods, including health care work for people with meritorious services, their relatives in private medical facilities. The participation of medical facilities in the province has gained more resources to organize many medical care programs and provide free medicines for patients in the province, thereby helping people with meritorious services and their relatives improve their spiritual lives, improve health care, improve quality of life.

The activities of caring, nursing and restoring health for people with meritorious services and their relatives with the revolution show the gratitude of today’s generation to those who have contributed a part of their blood, youth for independence of the nation. In the coming time, the Party committees, authorities at all levels, sectors and the whole society will continue to join hands to carry out many meaningful and practical activities to take care of the health of people with meritorious services and their relatives.
