Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Provincial Art Troupe of Singing – Dance – Drama

– On August 31, at the Center for Culture and Arts of the province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Provincial Art Troupe of Singing, Dance and Drama (September 1961-September 2, 2021).

The Provincial Art Troupe of Singing, Dance and Drama, formerly known as the Propaganda and Art Performance Team, belonged to the Department of Propaganda and Art Performance of Lang Son province, which was established on September 2, 1961. In 2018, the Art Troupe of Singing – Dance – Drama merged with the Cultural Center to become the Provincial Center of Culture and Arts.

Over 60 years of establishment and development, generations of artists of the troupe have created more than 6,000 performances; built and performed more than 500 large and small art shows, which made positive public opinion.

The delegation has been awarded many noble awards by all levels and sectors such as the Third-class Labor Medal (1991), Second-class Labor Medal (2016) and hundreds of certificates of merit from all levels and sectors and many gold and silver medals at national and regional competitions and festivals.

Speaking at the celebration, Mr. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee praised and highly appreciated the efforts and achievements that the Provincial Art Troupe of Singing – Dance – Drama, now the Provincial Center of Culture and Arts, has achieved during the past time.

He requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Provincial Center for Culture and Arts to focus on performing well a number of key tasks in the coming time, such as building art performance programs associated with propagandizing the guidelines of the Party, policies and laws of the State with highly artistic characteristics; urgently  advice and promulgate the project of “Improving the quality of activities of the Provincial Center for Culture and Arts in the period of 2021-2025; orientation to 2030”; promote the attraction of socialized resources to invest in facilities, increase funding, and improve the operational efficiency of the Center for Culture and Arts in the direction of professionalization, creating conditions for artists, actors, artisans and singers to devote and create art; carry out the research and collection of traditional folk songs and dances of different ethnic groups… Thereby, these will contribute to the implementation of the Resolution of the 17th Lang Son Provincial Party Congress.

On this occasion, one unit and five individuals received certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee for outstanding achievements in professional art activities in Lang Son province in the period 2016 – 2021; three units and 11 individuals received certificates of merit from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism for their outstanding achievements in professional art activities in Lang Son province in the 2016-2021 period.
