Summarizing 10 years of implementing the project “Vocational training for rural workers until 2020”

(LSO) – On the morning of October 30, 2020, the Provincial People’s Committee held a conference to summarize 10 years of implementing project “Vocational training for rural workers until 2020” according to Decision No. 1956/QD-TTg dated November 27, 2009 of the Prime Minister. Attending the conference were the Mrs. Doan Thi Hau, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, Head of Provincial Steering Committee for implementing Decision 1956.

In the province, since 2011, a Steering Committee for implementing Decision 1956/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister has been established from the provincial level to the grassroots level to direct and implement. As a result, in the 2011-2020 period, the whole province has trained over 115.5 thousand workers, contributing to increasing the rate of trained workers from 33% (2010) to 55% (in 2020).

Supporting policies on vocational training are implemented systematically, ensuring 100% of vocational training participants can fully access … In particular, the training is interested, with priority given to remote areas and communes, extremely difficult communes, selected communes to meet new rural standards.

Speaking at the conference, Mrs. Doan Thi Hau, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council praised the results achieved in vocational training for rural workers in the past 10 years. At the same time, she pointed out some limitations and suggested some solutions to implement the project more effectively in the future.

In particular, she emphasized that vocational training should be associated with actual needs, associated with the socio-economic development structure of the province; it is necessary to pay attention to coordinate with businesses in training and employing post-training workers, to reviewing and evaluate the labor demand of the market to meet the enterprise’s requirements. Along with that, it also should evaluate the effectiveness of facilities and equipment for vocational training invested in vocational training institutions; the impact of vocational training on the implementation of the provincial agricultural restructuring program associated with new rural development etc.

Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee to individuals with many achievements in vocational training for rural laborers in the period 2011-2020.

Concluding the conference, Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee suggested all levels, sectors and localities continue to consider vocational training for rural laborers as one of the key tasks of the whole political system. Thereby, they should review the training needs of all qualifications in the whole province, and build training plans each year, each period that is close to the real needs of learners and in line with local economic development orientation.

He emphasized that all levels and branches needed to effectively implement propaganda on vocational training for rural laborers. At the same time, they should well implement the coordination in vocational training for rural laborers; orientate, counsel them; create favorable conditions for employees to borrow fund for production and business and create jobs after the training…

On this occasion, 9 collectives and 4 individuals received certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee for their outstanding achievements in implementing Project 1956 for the period 2011-2020.
