Eight more communes were recognized as meeting new-style rural standards, three communes meeting advanced new-style rural standards

– On December 30, the Provincial Council for appraising communes meeting new-style rural standards held a meeting to appraise and recognize communes meeting new-style rural standards and communes meeting advanced new-style rural standards in 2021.

Mr. Luong Trong Quynh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Appraisal Council chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, the leader of the Provincial New-style Rural Development Coordination Office briefly reported on the appraisal results for the communes applying for recognition of meeting the new-style rural standards and advanced new-style rural standards in 2021.

Accordingly, up to now, eight communes: Thien Long commune, Binh Gia district; Diem He commune, Van Quan district; Quan Son commune, Chi Lang district; Yen Thinh commune, Huu Lung district; Tan My commune, Van Lang district; Thai Binh commune, Dinh Lap district; Hop Thanh commune, Cao Loc district; Khanh Xuan commune, Loc Binh district have basically achieved 19/19 criteria for new-style rural communes; three communes: Bang Mac commune, Chi Lang district; Huu Khanh commune, Loc Binh district; Dinh Lap commune, Dinh Lap district have basically achieved 14/14 criteria for advanced new-style rural communes.

At the meeting, representatives of departments, agencies, People’s Committees of districts and communes focused on discussing and clarifying a number of contents related to the implementation of some criteria such as schools, environment and food safety, cultural facilities, information and communication and so on.

After the discussion, the Provincial Appraisal Council held a vote. As a result, the above eight communes were eligible to be recognized as meeting new-style rural standards and three communes meeting advanced new-style rural standards in 2021.

Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee acknowledged the efforts and congratulated the communes that have been recognized this time. At the same time, it is requested that the Provincial New-style Rural Development Coordination Office and the People’s Committees of the districts urgently complete the remaining items and criteria for appraisal in the near future.
