The leader of the Provincial People’s Committee works with the Taiwan-Vietnam Economic, Cultural and Educational Development Association

– On the morning of January 21, Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee chaired an online meeting with the Taiwan-Vietnam Economic, Cultural and Educational Development Association (the Association) on exchanging and sharing experiences in implementing talent training programs in Vietnam, introducing talent training programs of schools in Taiwan, loan policies for students when participating in the program.

At the meeting, Ms. Ngo Pham Tran, Chairwoman of the Association introduced about the establishment of the Association. Accordingly, the Association was established in 2016 in Taiwan. In 2019, the Association was licensed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam to open a branch in Vietnam. The mission and purpose of the Association is to promote cooperation in trade, investment, education and culture between Vietnam and Taiwan. Over the past time, the Association has carried out many programs to promote bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Taiwan in many fields.

As the Chairwoman of the Association, she also expressed her desire to exchange and explore investment and cooperation opportunities between the Association and Lang Son province in the fields of economy, culture, and education, in which the Association is particularly interested in cooperation in training high-quality human resources.

During the meeting, the representatives of the Associations, schools and corporations from Taiwan introduced and shared experiences and results of implementing talent training programs in Vietnam, specifically the talent training program between Dong Thap province and Taiwan, this is considered a model of cooperation in implementing high-quality talent training programs between Vietnam and Taiwan. Along with that, the delegates also shared about supporting loan policy for students when participating in the program.

Speaking at the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee gave an overview of the potentials and strengths of Lang Son. He affirmed that Lang Son had met all conditions to cooperate with the Association in high-quality talent training programs as well as unskilled worker training, connection in building a smart city. He hoped that in the coming time, Lang Son province and the Association would have a more active connection to coordinate and implement the contents exchanged at the meeting.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee assigned the Department of Foreign Affairs as the connector to continue the coordination with the Association to carry out related tasks in the coming time.
