Huu Lung District Party Congress , term 2020 – 2025

(LSO) – On August 16, 2020, Huu Lung District Party Committee solemnly organized the Congress, term 2020 – 2025. Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee attended and directed the meeting.

Attending the meeting were members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of some departments, branches of the province and 274 representatives of more than 6,100 party members in the entire party committee.

In the term 2015 – 2020, Huu Lung District Party Committee has completed 21/21 targets, exceeding 12 targets set by the Resolution of the 23th Party Congress.

Specifically, the economic structure of the district shifted in the right direction; infrastructure investment is increased. The socio-cultural field has many positive changes. The material and spiritual life of the people in the district has been markedly improved.

Party, political system building work is focused; leadership and fighting capacity of grassroots party organizations have been gradually raised. During the past term, the entire party has recruited 1,053 party members, exceeding the set target.

In the 2020-2025 term, Huu Lung District Party Committee sets the target of “Continuing to improve the leadership and fighting capacity of the Party Committee, building a clean and strong political system; strengthening discipline, promoting democracy and the strength of great national solidarity; mobilizing and effectively using resources for socio-economic development; promoting the development of concentrated industry, tourism, services, high-quality agriculture – forestry in association with new rural develoment. Focusing on investment in infrastructure, especially urban and transport infrastructure; implementing sustainable poverty reduction, improving the people’s material and spiritual life; consolidating and strengthening national defense and security, facilitaing Huu Lung district to develop rapidly and sustainably.

At the Congress, delegates focused on analyzing and evaluating the achieved results and limitations in the term 2015 – 2020. At the same time, they discussed solutions to the implementation of targets in the 2020-2025 term.

Addressing the directing speeh, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasized: “Entering a new stage of development with many challenges and expectations, Huu Lung District Party Committee needs to exploit and promote potentials, strengths, and mobilize resources for rapid and sustainable development in the coming years.

Specifically, the district should focus on leading and directing the effective implementation of the agricultural restructuring program associated with building new rura areas, developing clean agriculture, applying high technology, focusing on key products of the district, promoting the implementation of one commune one product. The district should closely combine socio-economic development with national defense and security assurance, consolidate the entire people’s defense posture in association with the people’s security posture and build a solid district defense area.

Along with that, improving the effectiveness of social supervision and criticism of the Fatherland Front, renewing the methods of communication and propaganda to the people, contributing to creating people’s consensus in the implementation of Party,the State’s policies is necessary …”

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the District Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and elected the following titles: Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Inspection Committee, Chairman of the District Inspection Committee for the 2020-2025 term. Mr. Phan Hong Tien, Deputy Secretary of Huu Lung District Party Committee, term 2015 – 2020 was elected to hold the position of Secretary of Huu Lung District Party Committee, term 2020 – 2025.

The congress also elected a delegation to attend the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 – 2025 and voted to pass the congress’s resolution.
