Standing Board of Lang Son People’s Council convenes regular meeting

(LSO) – The Standing Board of the Lang Son provincial People’s Council convened a regular meeting on October 7. Permanent Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Hoang Van Nghiem chaired the meeting.

According to a report presented at the meeting, in the third quarter, the provincial People’s Council performed tasks and exercised power in line with regulations and working agenda.

The collection and explanation of opinions by the provincial People’s Council’s members were conducted in a democratic and responsible manner. The supervision and inspection activities ensured the content and schedule. Citizen reception and voters’ suggestions were dealt with effectively.

The meeting discussed the results of the implementation of several resolutions issued by the provincial People’s Council since 2011 on special mechanisms and policies on agriculture and rural development. It mulled over questions for permanent members of the provincial People’s Council in November 2019 and a plan to organise a meeting reviewing two-year implementation of the cooperation mechanism between the Standing Boards of the provincial People’s Committee and People’s Council, and with the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF).

Speaking at the meeting, Nghiem highlighted several tasks need to be done in the fourth quarter of this year, including the 110th birth anniversary of Hoang Van Thu, the military drills and the year-end meeting of the People’s Council.

He suggested that the Standing Boards of the provincial People’s Council, the People’s Committee and the VFF should continue working closely together to deal with emerging matters under their authority, including preparations for the year-end meeting and sharing of experience in economic development in preparation for the new draft resolution./.
