Four Vietnamese border provinces and Guangxi, China exchanged the work of education – vocational education

(LSO) – On October 14, the Department of Education and Training of Lang Son province organized an online conference on the exchange of education and vocational education between four border provinces of Vietnam (including: Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Cao Bang, Ha Giang) with the Department of Education of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China at the two sites of Lang Son (Vietnam) and Guangxi (China).

Attending the conference at the site of Lang Son province were Mr. Nguyen Long Hai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of the Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Cao Bang, Ha Giang province; representatives of high schools and colleges in Lang Son province.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Long Hai, Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People’s Committee highly appreciated the results of cooperation in education that the two sides have achieved, especially in the field of human resource training at university and post-graduate levels, improving Chinese and Vietnamese language proficiency through scholarships, exchange of teachers and foreign students.

Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Lang Son province affirmed that the results of the recent cooperation not only brought benefits to the staff, teachers and students in the education sector, helping to improve the quality of human resources on both sides but also contribute to strengthening people-to-People exchanges, strengthening and developing friendly relations and cooperation between localities.

At the conference, leaders of the Department of Education and Training, leaders of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of the four border provinces of Vietnam and Guangxi, China focused on discussing and evaluating the cooperation and exchange in recent years between the two sides within the field of education and training.

At the same time, they proposed a number of cooperation contents such as establishment of a coalition for the development of vocational education; continuing to cooperate in implementing activities to improve vocational education capacity; maintaining regularity and expanding exchanges and cooperation in education, especially vocational education; expanding the scholarship program, promptly solving problems related to scholarship dossiers and studying in Covid-19 epidemic condition; vocational training equipment support as well as cross-border vocational and labor training program cooperation.

Within the framework of the program, the two sides agreed and signed a memorandum of understanding on a number of contents on enhancing and promoting exchanges and cooperation in education and vocational education work between the four border provinces of Vietnam and Guangxi, China consisting of continuing to maintain the mechanism of conference on education and vocational training; strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of the four border provinces of Vietnam and the Department of Education of Guangxi, China; strengthening the cooperation between universities, colleges and institutes of Guangxi and China with universities, colleges, intermediate schools and educational institutions in the four border provinces of Vietnam; effectively implementing scholarship funds for international students; …
